A good addition
Glad we got the awning for the tent as along with the groundsheet it does provide another room to the tent. We did expect it to be usable with both zipped at once but once we worked it all out it worked ok. Just be aware you can only use them individually unless you zip the mesh cover on and clip the solid sheet on as the gullwing awning. Still a great addition and extra room for the tent and I couldn't imagine pitching without it now.
Great addition
Awesome addition to our tent set up. Option for shade, enclosed with breeze via mesh and keeping our kitchen space secure. We love that you can pile up the plastic Awning for an extended space. Only flaw is pulling apart or unrolling the plastic as is sticks together when packed away, but a minor inconvenience
Awning Wall Set for TM
As always, excellent quality product with perfect integration with the rest of the tent. Nice to be able to relax outside in the undercover area whilst protected from bugs and with a bit more privacy. Just note, it is bulky so will add to the size of an already large packed down tent.
Great accessory, but it had some issues
The awning set is definitely worth buying. It keeps most insects and macropods (e.g. kangaroos) out, keeps the dog in without needing a lead and helps keep the rain out. However, it is difficult to prevent having some gaps at the bottom of the insect mesh, so it is not completely insect proof. Perhaps Zempire could provide a video to show the best setup in this respect. Another issue is rain when using both insect mesh and awning at the same time. Unfortunately. The gull wing sides do not fully cover the insect mesh, so some rain will come through the mesh on the sides. If you have the Zempire groundsheet, this will pool on the groundsheet and potentially run back into your annex. If you expect solid rain, you should remove the mesh and zip on the awning instead. If you leave both the the mesh and awning in place, you should remove one pole segment from each side or water will pool on the roof and there will be an even larger exposed gap between the sides of the gull wings and the mesh, and thus more rain will fall through.
Fiddly
First set up was hectic but got there. For some reason i thought they were one unit you zipped to the tent and let down either the mesh or plastic as needed. Hopefully this will be in the pipeline to combine the two Still a great product though
Awning wall set for Evo TXL V2
Definitely worth purchasing this add on. It provided a great extra space for a kitchen and eating zone and for drying clothes when it rained. Also takes up less room than a gazebo which is great for some smaller tent sites.
Good to close off the front
Worth having to close off the front to make it more secure and sheltered. The open front of the tent is nice to sit in when it's open but the awning means you can store more stuff and keep it dry and out of sight
Awning Wall Set
Love this product. Have it on hand is great. Use it or don't it's small and light addition to your trip. If the suns out and the flies just use the mesh. If the rain or wind is setting in use the whole kit.
Fantastic addition
Great addition to my zempire TM tent. Easy to install using the simple zip. It really expands the practical use of the tent providing more camping options. Excellent product. Highly recommend.
Roof cover temperature difference
