Rated 5 out of 5 by from NY twin lifesaver!!! Asked my father to get this for our new twins. Living in NYC without a car, this has become our best mode of transportation. I can pull them behind to anywhere I want and then switch out the wheel so it becomes a stroller. So much easier than the subway. As an avid runner, the running wheel is a must have and once set correctly gives you great freedom. It is also our go to stroller in winter (thanks to closing the compartment ) and rolls wonderfully on snow. I don't particularly like owning stuff but I have recently stated that this is the best thing I own with my bike! It is really amazing. I have also used it to go shopping at Costco and just walked in and loaded the trailer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic for both on and off the bike... This is an amazing stroller/trailer. I know it's sold as a trailer more than a stroller for obvious reasons, but with the third wheel add-on, we take this thing all over the place. Combined, it's a great all-around solution, except for the size it would be our only stroller. For the garage, it can't be beat. Also, seating for two side-by-side it's a lot narrower than you'd think. Finally, burley is great customer service. We had an issue with the flag and they replaced it with a better holder immediately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely love my trailer! I'm really into biking and was in the market looking for the perfect trailer for my daughter. Knowing we were going to have two kids, I wanted to purchase a two seat trailer and looked at various choices. I liked the features on this model - adjustable suspension, UV protected side windows, collapsible construction, ability to convert to a jogger, extra shoulder room, available accessories, adjustable sun visor and safety features such as reflectors, reflective strips and flag. This unit is extremely well built and super smooth. We ended up getting the infant inset, jogger wheel and stroller wheels (which are our favorite).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Trailer/Stroller Combo The Burley d'Lite has been an awesome investment for our family. With about a dozen rides so far this spring, I am extremely happy with the design and quality of this product. We decided to upgrade our hand me down Burley Cub bike trailer and get rid of our double stroller, mostly for the sake of space. Our 18 month old absolutely loves the ride and often doesn't want to get out when we get back home. There is plenty of room for our growing family. We have a three year old buddy who sometimes rides with us to the park and they fit comfortably with drinks, snacks and a diaperbag. We love how quickly it folds and unfolds. I don't think you can go wrong with the Burley d'Lite!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great investment! We have used the Burley line for about 4 years and have been very satisfied. We recently upgraded to a Burley D'Lite to accommodate our growing family. It fits our 2 and 4 year old comfortably. The suspension and bowed sides were the tipping point for choosing this model and we've been glad we spent the extra money for those features. The one minor complaint we have about the D'Lite is the velcro on the back hatch flap. We are worried that will wear out more quickly than an elastic strap/hook closure. it makes us feel limited to the number of times we open and close the back storage area. Other than that, we think the trailer is a wonderful investment for any family with 2 kids who want to be outside on their bikes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2016 Model is fantastic I just got the new 2016 D'Lite. I've used it a handful of times, in dry and rainy conditions, and highly recommend it. You can find many detailed reviews online of the D'Lite, I'll just point out some things for the 2016 version: * Evidently the flag holder was horrible in past versions. It works great and is really easy with the new model! * The updated seat belts seam really nice. I have to use Burley's baby snuggler (or whatever it's called) (sold separately) for smaller children, so I don't get the full experience just yet, but they seem really easy to use and adjust, and nice quality. [PS, with the baby snuggler it's tough to have the baby wear a helmet. Head gets pushed forward. Not ideal. That issue is resolved when using the trailer as-is, but the snuggler adds extra padding, causing this problem.] * It comes with a light mount bracket. There's no reason to ever ride on roads without a rear blinky light, so this is a no-brainer feature. I would be upset if this wasn't included; as-is it works great to clip on a light. * Shocks don't exactly work great; baby bounces all over the place. But it's not cumbersome for him. And you can't expect the same plush suspension a high-end MTB would have. This uses a simple spring. And I feel it is better than nothing, so I don't regret choosing this model over the Encore (no suspension). * Comes with pretty shoddy tires. If you plan on going on long tours, or intense city commuting/etc., you'll need to replace them - tacking close to another $100. Something to keep in mind. (If you just plan on riding around bike paths on sunny 75-degree days, you'll be fine.) * There's a little more plastic than I'd like to see. BOB has gone this route with their strollers of late, too, I've noticed. I'm a little concerned in a few years some things will break that can't be fixed...but I guess that's life in the 21st century. * Locking the thing up at a bike rack is tough! It's definitely not built with that in mind. Whether you remove the wheels or not it's a pain to find a way to lock up the frame. And using a U-lock is pretty much out of the question, and we all know the security level of cables, so if you need to lock it up for a while in a less-than-ideal area, you'll need to carry around a heavy/expensive chain/lock. * Expensive - but you knew that. Only you can decide if it's worth the $$ for you. Overall, the thing is fantastic. Connects to the bike easy (I think there was some update with the connection in this model?) and effectively. Relatively easy to pedal while it's attached. Feels real smooth. Child isn't old enough to complain just yet, but he hasn't let on that it bothers him in any way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems pretty flawless Purchased to be able to get around with our first child, moreso so far for daycare transport than for fun outings. Decided to get the two-seater because weight and cost differential seemed minor, and has extra space, etc, etc -- no regrets about that. Started using it when our daughter hit 12 months (probably not wise to take younger babies on a bike -- in any format), and she's generally taken well to it. Now (at 19 months' age) she loves it, runs over to it when she sees it. She's been warm and cozy inside on many chilly rainy Seattle evenings, no leaks or condensation issues whatsoever. I've towed it approximately 150 miles in aggregate now ... and have no complaints whatsoever. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Expensive but worth it We bought this since we have a toddler and soon to be newborn. Our toddler does not like being strapped down so we knew we needed to make it a comfortable ride to keep him happy during the rides. We have since taken him and our 3yo neighbor and they have a blast. There's plenty of space in the front for two kids, and in the back for balls, snacks, sweaters, etc. My only complaints are the price and the handle bar. We also bought the jogging wheel and bc it doesn't swivel, turning is a pain with the handle bar that slips unclicked when downward pressure is applied. Definitely room for improvement there. But it's not a safety hazard and I don't think I'm damaging the trailer, it's just annoying so I'll just suck it up.

Looking to commute with a 1.5 year old starting soon.  Live in the Colorado front range.  How is the child's warmth in this trailer?  I assume with the rain guard zipped, they would not be getting blasted by wind. Worried about exposed face.

Asked by: AxleIke
This bike trailer is wind and water resistant and has a clear, front window that can be unzipped and rolled upwards for warmer days. This bike trailer is not insulated, so although the riders will not experience the additional wind factor, they will need to bundle up according to the outside temperature.

Is it ok to attach to a carbon bike? Where does it attach to exactly?

Asked by: knoerse
This bike trailer is compatible with a carbon frame bike. Burley recommends using a nylon washer when attaching the hitch to the bike. The trailer is attached directly to the rear axle of your bike.
