Rated 5 out of 5 by from I may never sleep in a singles bag again. Unlike typical bags that cinch up around your face and can illicit a sense of claustrophobia, the draft collar on this bag gently tucks in like a warm cozy comforter. The pad sleeves accommodate 25x76 inch size pads. I use the REI Camp Bed 3.5 which have an R value of 6 and provide a very comfortable sleep setup. With 25" wide pads the gap between the two is negligible which means there is no crack to fall into as you move around in your sleep. With integrated pillow sleeves I had no choice but to give this bag 5 stars. It's the little things that make it great. The sleeves easily accommodate the NEMO Fillo Luxury Pillow. This bag comfortably accommodates me (6', 170lb), the wife (5'3, 120lb) and our Weimaraner (65lbs) who loves to curl up inside the bag with us and adds additional warmth to the setup. Now that our pup sleeps comfortably, so can we.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I took this product out to West Virginia for some car camping at Seneca Rocks. I paired the Mezzo Loft Duo with the 50 inch Nemo sleeping pad. The two worked perfectly together. The sleeping bag was very comfy, easy to use and easy to pack up. The bag is great for car camping but I'd dare to say you could even use this for short range (non-ultralight) backpacking if you really wanted to. I don't think the weight would be the worst part of bringing this product along on a backcountry trip. The packed size would be the biggest deterrent as it would take up the majority of a large pack or about half of what I'd call an extra large pack. But since this product is made for two there's probably a good chance there will be another pack involved to stow the rest of the gear.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Super light but be prepared! We got this for car camping in Yosemite and put it on top of an air mattress. The top is great and warm however the bottom of the the sleeping bag is not insulated. It's meant to have sleeping pads inserted as insulation and not mean to be placed directly on the ground or on top of an air mattress without a secondary layer. We placed a polar fleece blanket down and it worked well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for taking on the motorcycle! We recently took this bag to Wisconsin Dells for a motorcycle rally weekend. The weather was down in to the 40's over night, and we had plenty of rain for a nice cold damp weekend. I was afraid I would be freezing overnight but with this beauty, coupled with the Cosmo insulated pad, was perfect! Best night sleep in a tent - EVER! Love it! Can't wait to get out and use it again! The entire system packs down and fit nicely on the motorcycle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Luxurious, Light Couple's Camp Bed - Love it! Bought this bag for my wife and myself for a 5-day trek in Peru. We absolutely loved this bag! Combined it with two REI InCamp 78"x25"x2.75" air sleeping pads. Note that these pads are 2" longer than the bag is rated for but they worked great. The combination of bag and pads made a luxurious couple's camp bed that is very roomy - when we wanted to go to our separate sides we had plenty of space. I am 6'4"; my wife is 5'9". This bag was plenty big for the two of us. The two side zippers allowed us to independently control our temperature. This bag is also as light any two bag option I could find, even much more expensive down bags. Note that one minor issue is that the InCamp pads have click connectors so you can connect two pads together. These tend to get hung up when inserting the pads into the bag sleeves. Not a big deal, but you want to be careful not to force the pads or you might rip one of the sleeves. One option would be to cut the connectors off, which I have not yet done. As is mentioned in other reviews, you are sleeping directly on the pads, with only a thin layer of fabric between your body and the pad. This is as designed. The downside is that there is no place for moisture from your skin to go, hence in warm weather it can feel a little sticky. In my experience that is simply one of the compromises you live with when camping (even if the bag had some insulation on the bottom it would not change things much), and one of the things I appreciate when I get home and can sleep in a regular bed. Overall this is by far the best bed couple's camp sleep system I have ever experienced.

Both of the sleeping bags i'm interested fill up to 50 inches (this one and Big Agnes Dream Island 15), can I use any of them with my Synmat LW (Shoulder Width: 51.2 in, Foot Width: 44.5 in)? Is this 1.2 inch excess going to ruin the fit?

Asked by: garrote84
We cannot guarantee your slightly oversized sleeping pad will fit in the integrated sleeve on this sleeping bag.

Why is the shoulder girth and hip girth labeled at 146"?  That is like the size of two king size beds...almost.  Please explain width and length.  What is the girth referring to?

Asked by: Haylee
The girth is the outside circumference of the bag. Factoring the thickness, the width would be a little under 73".

Would this be suitable for backpacking? As in, would this fit comfortably in a pack or would I need the worlds largest pack to lug this around???

Asked by: JuneIsDoomed
This would fit in a pack, but it takes up quite a bit of space. In order to take it backpacking you would need your backpacking partner to carry quite a bit of your stuff, but since they theoretically wouldn't have to carry a sleeping bag, that is reasonable.

I'm confused about how dimensions are stated for double sleeping bags. Why not give length and width in inches? I have a tiny Casita trailer with a 46" wide bed platform, so don't want or need a lot of additional bedding bulk. Please explain/advise!
