Does its job great but it's also frustrating
I wanted to buy this for my road trip to the Midwest. I reached speeds as high as 75-80mph and it held up great! It's nice to have that peace of mind that it locks. I still brought it in my hotel room at night though. The reason I give it 4 stars and 5 is for how difficult it is to lock the straps in place. I would say I'm a patient person and trying to put the straps in place makes me incredibly frustrated. Eventually it locks into place but it's not convenient. There is also a lip to put the straps in that further keeps the straps from catching the wind, I would not reccomend using that ever! It took ten minutes to get it out again. It works just fine without it. So even though there are a few bugs and irritations with the product, it does its job well!
Good SUP Carrier
Installed this carrier onto the factory installed rails of a 2017 Outback. Simple and no problems... took less than five minutes. Have transported one SUP on three separate occasions - quick & easy to load / unload, and to "tie down"... everything stayed secure. I do recommend tying down the SUP to the front of your vehicle also. Very happy with this carrier!
Easiest rack I have ever had to deal with
Surprisingly easy to mount, ridiculously easy to use. And it locks - enough to deter the casual thief at least.

Awesome rack
This is a terrific SUP rack. It took me maybe a half hour to install on my car and loading up a couple of SUPs is very quick and easy. I have to admit that it seemed too easy and I questioned whether the loose ends of the straps would stay put in the channel within the rack. However, I just got back from a 3000 mile road trip carrying two paddle boards starting from my home in southwestern Colorado travelling to the Olympic peninsula in Washington and and back home through Idaho, Montana, and Utah. I traveled at speeds of up to 85 mph with significant cross winds at times. I did not use a stabilizing strap on front of boards -only the two on the rack. The boards were super stable and I never had to re-tighten the straps. The loose ends of the straps stayed secure. When not carrying boards, the rack travels nicely on the roof without creating much wind noise.
Paddle board transportation made easy
After tightening the paddle board on surf pads every couple hours going from Portland to Bozeman I bought these. My wife can load it solo and it didn't need tightening at all driving from Portland to Lake Tahoe.
Love, love, love this SUP rack
Easy to install and use. Even someone with limited installation capability could accomplish installing the Thule Taxi rack
Hard to put on and take off
I have found this rack hard to get on and off my car. The straps are hard to hook and unhook. It was also difficult to get one of them level. Disappointed in Thule. I have a Thule bike rack and it is very easy to get on and off the car. Once I got it on the car is was easy to use. I carried 1 and 2 paddle boards.
