Will change your life!
These pants will change your life! Hyperbole? Perhaps a bit. But I kid you not, these pants are unlike anything I have ever experienced. These pants are the answer to the struggle that has plagued mankind for centuries - I don't want to wear jeans, but sweatpants and windpants are too sloppy. Boom! Enter these bad boys. Incredibly comfortable, you will wonder how you made it this far in life without them. The biggest issue you will have is mentally starting to justify buying yet another pair of $75 pants so that you can have more than one to hang around in. THESE PANTS ARE SICK!

Used to love Brions, BUT...
So disappointed. Prana Brions have been my favorite pants for several years, but this year they have made a huge mistake. They are cut different- much wider from the knee down, and almost look like bell bottoms. They measure almost 2 inches wider in circumference at the bottom cuff than my other Brions in the same size. However, they are at least as snug in the thigh, so it makes for a weird look for a "slim cut". Bummer, as these were awesome for going wherever your day takes you! Prana, please go back to your old cut!

Great pants- needs a better button.

I have every color of these pants and the shorts. It’s a good design, but there are two things that I’ve seen that could be better. The belt loops do y all allow a belt through them. A small belt that i wear with most of them won’t pass thorough some of the belt loops. Clearly there’s not a standard for this with their QA dept. It wasn’t a big deal until I lost weight and needed a belt! The second thing, put the riveted button back in this pant. You went cheap and replaced the riveted metal with plastic. For some things maybe plastic works better, but not for durability. All of my pants have been “upgraded” with the riveted type. So much better. Otherwise great pants!

Comfortable and versatile

These pants are definitely versatile - they look like they could work for the office or our in the field. They are comfortable to wear either sitting or moving (hiking, even some running). True to size. Only thing I didn't love was the bottom of the pants having a pretty large leg opening without any taper, but it likely would work great with hiking/hunting boots.

Perfect amount of stretch

These pants quickly earned a spot in the rotation, and I might need to buy more. They stood up to kneebars while rock climbing while staying breathable enough to summit Santa Fe Baldy and quick-drying enough to splash around in the waters of northern Wisconsin. Fit was true to size - I’m 6’3”, 190 lbs, and the 32/34 worked well. The stretch provides lots of mobility and makes it easy to roll the pants all the way past the knee if needed. I’d appreciate if there were mid-thigh side slit-style pockets for a phone while climbing, but besides that minor quibble, no complaints, these are great!

Great, well-fitting multipurpose pants

I bought these about a month ago (June 2015) and am really liking them so far. They fit great - not too baggy - and they're very comfortable. I got the Charcoal ones and I've worn them to work - they might look a little "jean-ish", but I don't mind. They also work for hiking - the stretch helps. I wish more clothes were made that can go straight from office to trail. So far, the only negative I would say is that they make a slight amount of noise (not too bad though) when walking which I don't like when I'm photographing in the outdoors, but everything else seems to be about perfect. This is my first Prana product and I'm impressed.

I love these pants

After owning a pair for about a year, I just ordered another pair in a different color. Although I love to hike, I wear these to work (casual) and social activities. They maintain a sharp look wearing after wearing, and I find them quite comfortable. Care is easy: I wash them with all my other clothes, and have either hung them to dry or put them in the dryer. The label on the pants says "slim fit", and I do find them to fit a bit snug. The material stretches, however, so I can see how theyd make good hiking pants. I'm satisfied with the durability of the first pair, so the quality is what you'd hope for with a Prana product.

They changed the style

These used to be my absolute favorite pants! They worked for hiking, work, morning bike commutes, casual yoga, literally anything I wanted to do in these pants I could. Recently though they seem to have changed the cut of them making them flare out towards the bottom. This keeps them great for hiking and climbing but it makes them far too casual for the office and impossible for morning bike rides. If you don't plan on wearing them to the office or on a bike and enjoy a bit of flare in your pants then I highly suggest these. Otherwise I would look elsewhere also, they don't seem to be as wrinkle resistant as they used to be.

Slim Fit.....Maybe for a rhino.

After a few years of wearing Prana shorts and absolutely loving them I decided to give Duke pants a try. Fit from the thigh up is fantastic. From the knee down...Disaster. My wife actually laughed. I started looking something indicating I got a "relaxed" fit. That's when I saw the "slim fit" tag. These are as far from slim fitting as I have ever seen. I compared the leg width to the straight leg Zions that I bought and the Brion is over 2 inches wider than the Zions. If these had a tapered leg I'd give them 10 stars. But as they are they just look funny.

Slim, stretchy pants that work great for work or play

I've been testing the new Prana Brion pants, recently revamped with Stretch Zion materials. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. Over the last year, I have worn the Brion II pants as undercover comfortable work pants to my teaching job. They almost look like slacks, but they're significantly more comfortable. So I was excited to try the new version of the Brion pants. The new material is similarly stretch, and I think the fit has improved. The new pants are slightly less tapered in the same size I always order. One note is that I am a very skinny man, so these pants are not quite as tight on me as they would be on someone with more athletic legs. I think these pants will work well for people who are on the skinnier side, or who like a tighter fitting pant in general. The stretchiness of the material makes these pants great for biking to and from work, or taking right to the climbing gym. For the most part, I wear these pants to work, so I haven't had much opportunity to test their durability against real rock. I did ride home in medium-heavy rain and have a chance to test the PFC-free DWR coating, with good results. While the pants did eventually start to wet through, this took some time even in sustained rain. Overall, I'm a big fan of pants like these that I can get away with wearing to work. They disguise their high-performance credentials very well, and make them one of the most versatile pairs of pants I own.
