Sizing Notes

Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".

PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and Âľ inch shorter in total rise.

TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.

Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.

Inseam is measured to the floor.

Most Comfortable Pants EVER

After having a baby and gaining some weight, I've been having a difficult time finding comfortable pants that don't make me look like a behemoth. Exercise pants can be especially unforgiving when you have thighs that jiggle and a butt that won't stop. However, these pants are SO comfortable and they smooth out my legs, which means they do not showcase my "cottage cheese" thighs. They move every way you need them to. I am currently buying a pair in every color so I never have to wear anything else after work.

I wanted to love these, but...

These pants would be great if I were 6 feet tall, but sadly I'm not. Pros: material is so soft, and thick enough to wear with no show-through concerns. the overall shape is nice, waist is high enough to stay up, but not too high. Cons: these are just built on a huge scale. After 3 barre classes, two washes (no dryer) they're baggy in the seat, waist and crotch want to sit a couple of inches lower than when new. I'm super short so I'm used to overlong pants, but the legs are now almost to my ankles. A smaller size? I might if I run into a sale, but the material is comfortably sized in the thighs and hips, so might be too stretched. Upshot? If you're tall and curvy they're probably great, but if you're short and rubanesque, (ehem) I wouldn't recommend.

Great fit, great value

I have many different pairs and brands of yoga pants, all capris or full-length leggings. This is my first pair of REI leggings, purchased on sale. At sale price, it is a steal, and at regular price it is still a good value (especially compared to other brand's pricing). The fit is great, the fabric is not see-through and strong, and the look is flattering. I normally get size Small in all my yoga leggings, however I wanted some extra 'leg room' and ordered a Medium, which I am happy with (5'7", 130#). The stay put (other reviews said they fall at the waist? No problem) and stretch well and dry quickly.

They're Not See-Thru!

I have two pairs of these now because I like them so much. They are thick enough so you can't see through them when you bend over. They have a good amount of compression to keep all of my "loose" parts nice and tight and contained. I sweat A LOT, and I love that you can't see wet spots on these pants ever (I only buy black). The fit is good, although I do find that I prefer the fit tight (size M for 5'6"/160#), they can occasionally start slipping in the waistband. Other reviewers have suggested a size up, so that may be the key to keeping them from falling.

My new favorite leggings!

Snagged these at an REI Garage Sale and am SO GLAD I did. I am 5'7", about 130# and have a long torso and hourglass shape, which makes leggings almost impossible to fit well without causing the dreaded camel-toe. Miraculously, these do not have that problem! I may never wear anything else again. I have worn them running, to barre class, and just around town and was pleased with their performance for all of the above. They are a sturdy enough fabric that I do not have to worry about flashing anyone in a child's pose or happy baby, but they are not too hot for vigorous activity in mild weather. They have a flattering fit that tucks and smooths in all the right places without constricting. I cannot say enough good things.

Thick and comfy

If you're looking for some leggings that have good coverage, keep things in place and are easy to move around in, these are perfect. I'm 135 lbs, 5'4 and bought the smalls. I did try on the mediums, and I think I might have been a little happier with the larger size for when I go running in them, just cause the slightly tighter fit makes them slide down just a bit. But overall, I love these. They come up to just under my belly button. I mostly wear them to the gym to lift weights, or for walking around running errands.

Amazing leggings!

I bought these on a whim when stopping at REI and saw the awesome sale price. I didn’t even try them on, which is a huge risk for me because almost all black leggings are see through on me (I have skinny legs but wide hips and a butt). I’m so happy I got them! They are thick and stretchy but still keep you cool and are perfect for hiking, yoga, lounging. I’m still amazed they are not see through at all and I did allllll of the stretch tests, ladies. They are slightly more low cut than some leggings, they hit at about my belly button or a little under. I love them so much, I ordered a second pair online. For reference, I’m 5’3 and 118lbs and got my usual size of XS.

these are great!

I have gone through a lot of capris in my time... These stay put on long runs. No sliding down and pulling up the waist here! The rise is a bit lower than some 'other' brands, it rise is below the belly button but high enough to flatter. At 5' an XS hits me just below mid calf. I love these so much that I have proceeded to buy every color and toss my expensive pairs. I pretty much wear these every day now, whether it's with my running shoes or a cute pair of booties.

Capri Tights Mixed

Love the color and the thickness of tights. However, using them for barre classes where up and down movement is the norm, I felt self conscious about the backside slipping/sliding down. Wish there was a more firm waistband.

Bad fit

Bought these trying to avoid paying for another Lucy brand crop legging. Unfortunately, they were a no go. The material is fantastic, flattering, AND not see-through. However, the cut was a deal breaker. The top did not come up high enough, so if you have any sort of pooch it emphasizes it. Then when you try and pull them up higher you get a nice camel toe. Still, I gave these a shot and went for a run in them. I stopped after 3 blocks. They slipped down with every step! I got so frustrated I turned around and went home to put something else on. Then, I tried to do some yoga in them. The top rolled down every time I moved, and I kept having to re-adjust. If you have a shorter torso these may work for you, but at 5'9" 150 pounds, short is not a word used to describe me. Wish they would lengthen the top portion of these, then I'd buy multiple pairs.
