The best pole I've ever had.

I bought this a year ago and was mesmerized by its weight the first time I held it in my hand. Design wise it looks simpler than its brother Distance FLZ (aluminium type) but I bought it due to its weight and the flazz lock mechanism. I go hiking every 3-4 month mostly on a rocky terrain. Considering the carbon material at first I was afraid it may break down easily. However, it has endured well. A bit pricey, about 50 dollar difference from the same type with aluminium material Distance FLZ, but so far it has proven worth the money I spent.

Great Poles

Put about 100 miles on these poles so far in NC mountains 2017-2018. Lightweight, quick and easy to fold up or open and lock. Not a large adjustment range but how much do you really need? (I mainly make my poles longer in snow or for a creek crossing). Wish they came with large snow baskets (they don't). Had REI adjustable alum. poles for 12 years (one pole broke in half in Dolly Sods, WV). New poles super light. Good Fit for me at 5'11". Like the foam grips and light wrist straps after getting wet they dried out quickly at below freezing temps. Pricey but at 47, I am replacing gear with lightest new stuff available.

Light but disposable

After light use on a handful of occasions my poles started splitting by the buttons. Typically this was just outside the warranty period. I'd recommend checking out other options or be prepared for them to fail.

so GREAT!

I have used these poles for a summer now and they have held up extremely well. They are lightweight and fold up super small. Highly recommended them. They are worth the cash.
