Most Comfortable Pack I Own
Hiker 65

Bought to go on a trip to Arizona. We were just doing day hikes. Wanted the breathable off the back suspension because of the heat. Loaded the pack down with water and it didn't feel like I had anything on my back. Great suspension system. We went back and bought one for my wife

Great but has a few major flaws.

Pros: Comfortable and the airspeed back is amazing. Cons: All the pockets use the same space. So if you fill the bag with stuff you now can't use the top pocket or water bottle holders. As soon as you take out water bottles they don't want to go back in if you have stuff in the pack. Also the worst thing of all is the camel bladder system. The top pocket has to be COMPLETELY empty to put in or pull out your water bladder. Even when it's empty it's still a huge pain and near impossible to do so, not to mention using the holding loop in the top. PS: belt pockets are near impossible to use ever. TL;DR: Pack is stupidly small and frustrating to use but comfortable to wear.

Great day pack!

This is by far the best day pack I have ever used and owned. It was so great, that the majority of my friends ended up purchasing it. We go on all day hikes 10mile+, in elevation 10,000ft+. This pack is able to hold everything I need for a long day hike, and more. I love Osprey products, worth the investment. I would say the only con about this pack is the side bottle pockets. They are really small. I think Osprey should make them bigger to fit a nalgeen bottle, or something of similar size. Aside from that, this pack is perfect. I'm a large frame woman, 5'9, 170lbs, and I got this pack in a Medium. Large was surprisingly too big. This fits me perfect.

Great little pack

Picked up a Stratos 24 a couple months ago as a smaller alternative to a larger day pack I have used for the last 15 years. I have taken the Stratos 24 on a half dozen hikes in the last month. This is a great pack. It carries everything I need for three season hiking, and it does so with greater comfort than any pack I have owned. The suspension system is fantastic. It adjusts to the user's physic easily. It provides better than usual ventilation, as advertised, but doesn't sacrifice stability to do so. I have used this on a couple of difficult day hikes with stretches of serious scrambling, and it was like I didn't have anything on my back at all. I love this pack!

Great comfortable bag, some minor annoyances

This bag has been good to me. Serving as a travel and hiking bag through several North and South American countries. The construction of an Osprey pack and warranty are second to none. The zippers and pulls are strong and comfortable as well as the webbing and pack material. Pros: Air flow on the back of this pack is amazing Frame is strong and helps support the load Rain cover included Able to stuff and still operate Cons: The air flow on the back makes the back curve and shift the weight away from your back. It's a 24L bag so it's never too heavy but can cause fatigue on longer hikes with heavier packs. The frame is very rigid making this bag hard to stuff in small spaces or use with other larger packs. The main and the 2 accessory pockets (interior) all share the same space, so the separate but do not partition out separate room. The compression straps on the main compartment seem to get in the way more than they help and get annoying with frequent access to the main compartment.

Comfortable and adaptable!

This backpack is great for day hikes and is über comfortable! The biggest reason I purchased this backpack was for the internal frame suspension system where it hugs my back while providing much needed ventilation. Another plus is the integrated rain cover on the bottom pouch although I haven't had the chance to use it yet. The bottom straps with buckles allows me to carry my REI trail stool and the trekking pole mounts to carry my monopod. When I have to carry a light load such as my laptop I can use the compression straps to really trim down the profile. I'm very satisfied with this backpack!

This is great for Ultralighters if...

...you do better carrying a sturdier pack. I owned the Talon 22 until my daughter commandeered it last year. I used that for several overnights in the Olympics and needed about an extra liter to make it pack easier with all my food for three plus days. Enter this pack. I have packed and repacked and found that it's actually pretty cool. Not too many bells and whistles on the outside, but I like to keep my stuff organized in ditty bags inside. I'm an Ultralight guy, but I can't do the feather weight packs.Too many years in the military using "bombproof" gear, I guess. It fits well and rides comfortably. I'm taking this pack out this weekend for a 30 mile round trip. I'll update when I get back.

Awesome fit for long-backed women

This is my first technical pack of any kind. I wanted to begin with day hikes and move into wilderness backpacking eventually. I tried every single women's technical day pack in the store and despite following the fitting charts, I couldn't find one that wasn't too short. I tried this one on and it felt like it was molded to my body. I took it out for it's maiden voyage yesterday: an 8.25 mile, 1200' elevation change Marin County hike. I will add that I have both prior neck and lumbar injuries and cannot tolerate much on my back. Despite having this bad boy totally loaded down I made it through the hike feeling like I was carrying nothing at all. Today I couldn't even tell you I had anything on my back all day yesterday. I am deeply impressed by the quality of this pack and know I am going to get many, many miles out of it in the next several years. If you are a taller woman with a very long back this one is worth checking into.

Amazing Backpack

I bought this backpack 4 years ago and use it everyday for lugging around books on the weekdays and hiking on the weekend. The frame of this backpack is absolutely amazing and provides wonderful support while allowing you to stay cool. The rain jacket is a definite plus and has saved me many times. Very light weight and durable. I have put this bag through the ringer and it has held up. Will defiantly buy this bag again.

Great Travel and Day Hiking pack

Bought the osprey for day hiking in Colorado. Added a 2 litre camel pack, purchased extra, to fit into the built -in space within the pack. Worked great. Also fits easily under a seat or overhead plane compartment. Includes a built-in Rain cover as well. Comfortable and easy to adjust straps.
