40 inch waist in their "full" size is a perfect fit for an old guy trying to relive his glory days in the outdoors. Thanks KUHL for, unlike other outdoors clothing companies, you still make clothing that will fit guys who are a little out of shape and but not yet over the hill. A great pants that have just enough stretch to make the comfortable. They can be worn as casual pant indoors and the black color gives them a sense of style. I now have a second pair and have worn them in Iceland in winter and Arizona in summer....I was perfectly comfortable in both environs... Highly recommended.

I own several pairs of Kuhl pants and enjoy them all. The only complaint I’ve had is how snug they are in the crotch when sitting or squatting. I wasn’t aware Kuhl made stretch-fabric pants until in walked into the REI Store and Buford, GA and found them on the display rack. These pants fit me perfectly. I have a few extra pounds and it’s always difficult to find pants that sit on my waistline just right. I don’t even need a belt with these. The stretchy material means no more bunching in the nether regions and a comfortable all-day fit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Quiet (no rustle with movement), cool pants for hiking (cooler than the other pair of Kuhl's I have). Fell hard on steep, rugged trail and scuffed knees. Dirt did not come out with brisk brushing while on trail. However, washed and they look good as new. Raven is black. Would buy other, lighter colors if available.

I used these for cross country skiing instead of my poofy snow pants. They had a nice look, a good feel and though I fell a few times in wet snow, my lower half stayed completely dry. They kept me warm enough with long johns underneath. I guess the real test will be when I ski in very cold weather and wind. I'm not yet sure if they'll be warm enough but I'll find out. For medium cold weather (20's), they were just the ticket.

I absolutely love how these pants move with you in every direction, keep the wind chill out while never being to warm. They are solid and handle abuse easily. Just last week we were bushwhacking through some dense chaparral, and these pants are holding up great.

I was looking for a good shell for ice climbing up in Montana. These kept me dry and warm with just a medium baselayer underneath during my 2 day ice climbing trip. And the allowed movement necessary to climb comfortably.
