I just mounted this rack on my 2014 Jetta Sportwagen TDI and I love it. It's aerodynamic, quiet, sturdy and has a sleek design. I have no problems opening my sunroof like some other customers have had. I had REI install it for me for $20 and before they mounted it we checked to make sure the sunroof would open. I'm happy with the purchase.

Only a SINGLE BLADE arrives with this pricing. Unbelievable that the product team has not made this clearer in the description. Such a waste of time!

Be warned: you lose some clamping space

These cross-bars look great on my Subaru Crosstrek 2015, but you lose a lot of space to attach T-base bars or clamps too. I measure about 32" of usable space. I'm returning these and getting the other Thule aerobars which rise above slightly and will provide about 47" usable space. Why? It's nice to put a cargo box and one bike on the side (if you are carrying 3 or 4 bikes). My car has a very small trunk, and I know I'll need to do this, as I did on an older '06 VW Jetta (easily, with OEM corss-bars that hold Thule T-mount gear). Get it if you know you will only put a cargo box up there, or only a bike (but not both).

Buy a factory bar if possible

First thing: Despite Thule's website, and REI's "finder" saying this would fit our new VW Alltrak...it didn't. That was a real problem, because we bought right before we needed to leave. Recommend: buy the factory bar if you can, because you *know* it will fit. Now if you are fortunate enough to have these fit your car "as advertised" well, I'd still question these bars. They look great for sure, and that's the plus. The minuses are that they are certainly expensive....and whoa! they rely on an exposed bit of hard rubber that wraps around the factory rail that could be cut with a razor knife. So much for all that locking security!

Stunning look, but they don't fit.

Audi allroad 2014 w panoramic sunroof. No go. Although the guide says they fit, there are a couple issues. The first is that the sunroof won't close. Our's opened (unlike another reviewer), but then got stuck on the closure. The second is that the profile is so low, I can't imagine getting the accessories that hold our racks, sky boxes, etc. fitting around. It's a shame. They look just how I want them to look. Super clean, classy. If you don't have a sunroof, these should not be a problem. Too bad that most nice cars deserve to have the extra money spent on this sleek look but are also likely to have a sunroof.

Sturdy and stylish, but whistles loudly >70mph

I was pretty confident that when i chose the "Aeroblade" style for my 2018 Volkswagen Atlas (no moonroof) that I would be getting a product that created relatively little wind noise. And they do - up to about 70 mph when a sharp steady whistle begins. It sounds like a tea kettle boiling. You may say that I do not need to exceed 70 mph and you are correct, it just so happens that the expressway on which I spend the majority of my commute has a speed limit of 70 and the majority of traffic cruising at 75-80 which is solid whistle territory. This is especially disappointing as my intention was to keep the rails permanently mounted because they look so cool. Curiously, there is hardly any noise at all when my new Force XT L box is mounted to the rails... go figure. I may experiment with their Aeroscreen product, though reviews of that are also very mixed.

Road trip 2021

I had a bit of an issue with the size to fit my vehicle, for some reason the crossbars to fit onto my SUV are actually different in size and as the front crossbar worked well, the one in the back did not fit. It needed a shorter crossbar, for some reason my vehicle’s bars get narrower towards the back, and what Thule specifies the size to fit such vehicles one of the crossbars didn’t actually work, luckily these awesome guys from REI in Madison WI helped me get the right one and installed it... and I continued with my road trip.

Review of Thule AeroBlade Edge 7504 and 7503

I recently purchased and installed the Thule AeroBlade Edge 7504 and 7503 for my 2023 Chevy Traverse Premier. This is due to the differing widths at the front and rear of the vehicle. The installation process was straightforward and hassle-free. Impressively, there is no wind noise, even at higher speeds.

Love the clean look and low noise.

I bought this for the clean look and Aeroblade technology. I installed a 7501 and 7502 for my 2013 TDI Sportswagen w/pano sunroof and they looked great. Made very little noise (compared to my old square bars) and I had about 1.5 mpg difference on highway. I did position them differently from the recommended location from Thule to utilize my sunroof. It was very close but I was able to open and close no problem. I also have a Thule Atlantis Box which I used. Had no problems with it fitting snugly after numerous road trips. Suffered about 4 mpg difference. Overall these are pretty slick and very easy to take on and off. Since it has a spring built in, you just need a little elbow grease (I had mine on for a year) and the springs allow you to shrink the length of the bar. Compared to the older roof rack and feet this was a cinch to take on and off. And I don't have to deal with out so many random parts. I would definitely recommend making sure you have even pressure on both sides of the rack when you tighten them due to the springs. You can easily over tighten one side.

Great addition to SUV

Easy to install; however be wary of the Thule online or in store fit guide. It said my 2016 Nissan Pathfinder wasn't compatible. After calling Thule they told me they were in the process of updating the website with all new 2016 car info. The rep told me which product to purchase and I found them at my local REI. Another word of caution is these bars only spread so far so make sure you don't need a larger bar for the front of your car of SUV. I almost had to exchange the front bar because the roof rack spreads apart as you approach the front windshield.

Attractive design with a major flaw

We bought these for our Honda Odyssey about 3 to 4 yrs ago. They fit well and look beautiful. However, another reviewer pointed out that they are anchored with plastic/rubber straps and commented on how easy those would be for a thief to cut with a razor. The problem is worse than that... after only 3 years of Texas summers, those straps have sun-baked to the point that they are cracking. We no longer trust them not to break at speed and dump the bars and cargo on the freeway. Thule has those straps for sale on their website, but they are not in stock and haven’t been for months. We are on a notification list to be told when they are available. Just last week we received notice that they were in stock and we were given a ship date. Just 24 hrs later we received another notification that they were unavailable and no ship date was forthcoming. The rubber strap system is flawed and their inventory system is non functional. We’ve spoken with reps over the phone and they say “sorry, we can’t help you.” We are looking at replacing with a different brand.
