Rated 3 out of 5 by from Be warned: you lose some clamping space These cross-bars look great on my Subaru Crosstrek 2015, but you lose a lot of space to attach T-base bars or clamps too. I measure about 32" of usable space. I'm returning these and getting the other Thule aerobars which rise above slightly and will provide about 47" usable space. Why? It's nice to put a cargo box and one bike on the side (if you are carrying 3 or 4 bikes). My car has a very small trunk, and I know I'll need to do this, as I did on an older '06 VW Jetta (easily, with OEM corss-bars that hold Thule T-mount gear). Get it if you know you will only put a cargo box up there, or only a bike (but not both).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stunning look, but they don't fit. Audi allroad 2014 w panoramic sunroof. No go. Although the guide says they fit, there are a couple issues. The first is that the sunroof won't close. Our's opened (unlike another reviewer), but then got stuck on the closure. The second is that the profile is so low, I can't imagine getting the accessories that hold our racks, sky boxes, etc. fitting around. It's a shame. They look just how I want them to look. Super clean, classy. If you don't have a sunroof, these should not be a problem. Too bad that most nice cars deserve to have the extra money spent on this sleek look but are also likely to have a sunroof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from aero and sturdy I just mounted this rack on my 2014 Jetta Sportwagen TDI and I love it. It's aerodynamic, quiet, sturdy and has a sleek design. I have no problems opening my sunroof like some other customers have had. I had REI install it for me for $20 and before they mounted it we checked to make sure the sunroof would open. I'm happy with the purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2014 VW Jetta Sportswagen TDI w/Pano-moonroof I just installed a pair today on my Jetta Sportswagen. The first time installation was time consuming because of the hand tool. Jetta's have a small diameter side rail so you really need to crank that tool for a long time to get the strap tight to the side rail and get the necessary "click". The plastic screw to secure the end cap is a weak design. Very flimsy, tough to catch it right and not at all a lock. I am going to look for the locking mechanism to replace this plastic screw. I have the panoramic moon roof and I did read the footnote informing me that my moon roof may not open. The racks are a very low profile, which is important to me but because of that it can stop the moon roof from opening. I saw the same warning with the Yakima Whispar racks but read on a blog that if positioned at a specific point the roof will open. By sliding the front rack (702) forward more I am able to utilize all the features of my moon roof. The spacing from the front to back rack is 31" which is within the Thule guideline. Save yourself some time and position the racks and before securing them test your sun roof. I haven't mounted anything onto the crossbars yet. The crossbars feel 100% secure to the side rails.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great addition to SUV Easy to install; however be wary of the Thule online or in store fit guide. It said my 2016 Nissan Pathfinder wasn't compatible. After calling Thule they told me they were in the process of updating the website with all new 2016 car info. The rep told me which product to purchase and I found them at my local REI. Another word of caution is these bars only spread so far so make sure you don't need a larger bar for the front of your car of SUV. I almost had to exchange the front bar because the roof rack spreads apart as you approach the front windshield.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from "Your sunroof may not open when rack is installed" I was really happy when I bought these aeroblades for my 2014 VW Tiguan - they look better than OEM and carried the Thule name....life was good. Then I tried to open the awesome panoramic sunroof on my car and it hit the blade and closed. No worries, a little adjustment should fix it right? Wrong, after going back and reading the fine print on the Thule fit guide I noticed "45. Your sunroof may not open when rack is installed". That's pretty weak in my opinion, just say it doesn't fit and I'll go with a different product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the clean look and low noise. I bought this for the clean look and Aeroblade technology. I installed a 7501 and 7502 for my 2013 TDI Sportswagen w/pano sunroof and they looked great. Made very little noise (compared to my old square bars) and I had about 1.5 mpg difference on highway. I did position them differently from the recommended location from Thule to utilize my sunroof. It was very close but I was able to open and close no problem. I also have a Thule Atlantis Box which I used. Had no problems with it fitting snugly after numerous road trips. Suffered about 4 mpg difference. Overall these are pretty slick and very easy to take on and off. Since it has a spring built in, you just need a little elbow grease (I had mine on for a year) and the springs allow you to shrink the length of the bar. Compared to the older roof rack and feet this was a cinch to take on and off. And I don't have to deal with out so many random parts. I would definitely recommend making sure you have even pressure on both sides of the rack when you tighten them due to the springs. You can easily over tighten one side.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overpriced, not suitable for cargo box or sunroof After messing with these for a whole day, I returned them for the Thule bars. There are some big issues with these blades. - Cargo boxes with quick grips will not attach well to these blades since they are wide. The box won't fly off, but it's not a tight fit and the box rattled around for me at any speed. - Installation is about 3x longer than most bars, and the tool is separate, so you will need to store it somewhere. - The clearance is really really low. You won't be able to pop a sunroof and in some cars I can see the quick grip claws being close to your roof. -For the price, the plastic covers seem pretty thin. Not as well constructed as Thule's other bar holders. The only positive thing I can say is that they do look nice if you just want to drive around and pretend you use them on the weekends.

what size would fit the 2014 Subaru Crosstrek?

Asked by: paredown
The Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Bar will fit a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek with either raised side rails or fixed points. If your Crosstrek has the raised side rails you will need 1 size large for the front and 1 size medium for the back. If your Crosstrek only has fixed roof points and not side rails, you will need the following item in the large and medium for front and back respectively; http://www.rei.com/product/851554/thule-aeroblade-edge-roof-bar-flush-mount

The AeroBlade Edge bars are not suggested for this vehicle. The 53" AeroBlade system will work. Input the vehicle information in the link below to get a full set up: https://www.thule.com/en-us/us/buyers-guide

For low profile roof cross bars to fit my 2018 Volvo XC 90 Momentum with raised rails (otherwise my cartop Autohome tent won't fit out the garage door). Is the Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Bar - Raised Rail appropriate? Large?

As of July 2017, Thule does not publish a fit for your vehicle.
