I started using Thinksport almost a year ago when I began training for triathlons. The change in my skin has been amazing. I have swum outside for years and have unfortunately developed sunspots. After learning about thinksport and consistently using it for every open water swim, ride and run in the oppressive Texas sunshine, I have seen a huge decrease in the wear and tear on my skin. I have a lot fewer sunspots and I have never once burned while using Thinksport. Thinksport has the perfect consistency and will not run in your eyes while sweating or swimming. I highly recommend Thinksport and I refuse to ever use another brand again!
Bought this for a trio to the beach this summer. I used to use the Badger sunscreen but found it a pain to apply because it was so thick. This Thinksport sunscreen has a few more ingredients, but they all seem to be safe according to EWG and it's way easier to apply! Also the "ghost effect" seemed to be less noticeable and my hands are less greasy after applying than with the Badger. The only problem I had was with the sunscreen being rubbed off my hands when changing out of my rash guard. Being a physical sunscreen, it may be a little more susceptible to being rubbed off than chemical sunscreens, but as long as I'm conscious of that, it works perfectly!
I've always had trouble finding sunscreen that didn't feel gross and/or make my sensitive skin break out. A friend gave me thinksport's sunscreen and I'm so glad I tried it. The first time I used it I was out in the sun all day- swimming in the ocean, slacklining, practicing acroyoga with friends. This stuff provided great sun protection, even with all of the swimming and sweating that I did, and I didn't burn at all. Based on my experiences with almost every other sunscreen I've tried, I expected my skin to break out over the next day or two, but it didn't. Quite frankly, I was pretty amazed. It doesn't feel greasy or sticky, is super water/sweat-resistant, and it smells delicious. Added plus- it doesn't irritate sensitive skin!
The small scar on my nose as a reminder of a small skin cancer is my best reminder to seriously protect my skin. I bought the Think Sport after careful research and tried it out on a 16 day camping trip in St. John. Despite snorkeling, hiking and swimming I had absolutely no sunburn. I will say that I also wore a hat and long sleeved rash guard when I could, but I still got plenty of exposure. ThIs product isn't greasy and rubs in, yet water beads up in your skin and gives you great protection even during water sports and when sweating. Worth every penny!
As a trailrunner and triathlete, I'm out in the sun A LOT so using a sunscreen that protects me WELL in a HEALTHY way is very important to me. Thinksport's use of 20% zinc oxide makes for a clean sunscreen that goes a long way, with no overspray or waste that you get with aerosol-type sunscreens. Tube size is GREAT and perfect for travel, in my gym bag, in my crew bag, and at home. If you haven't tried it, you won't be disappointed!!!
Absolutely love Thinksport products. I have worn the Thinksport sunscreen in the hot/humid conditions at Ironman Hawaii (9 hour race) the the past couple of years with no signs of sun burn. Not only does it protect me from the dangerous UV rays but it's also nice to know that it's good for my skin with no harmful chemicals added. Plus, I really like that all of the body products and sunscreens smell great
Used Thinksport while cycling. While this sunscreen worked sufficiently to protect my arms and legs, I was surprised to see just how much residue from the small areas I applied the product to that wound up on my shirt & cycling shorts. I didn’t observe that this had Zinc-Oxide and to my chagrin, I only realized that hen I first put it on. I had so many patches on myself afterwards, I had to rethink my purchase. If you care about how the product wears when on your person, consider going to a Neutrogena chemical sunscreen. I will revert back to chemical sunscreen. Sorry REI, this was not one of your better sources for sunscreen.
Thinksport's sunscreen smells great and it doesn't make my skin feel greasy. Many sunscreens burn my eyes when I start to sweat but this one stays put. I am an active runner, hiker and surfer, and love being outdoors. I don't want to have to worry about reapplying sunscreen every hour or what kind if chemicals I am putting on my skin. I will definitely continue using this product in the future.
I train and compete in open water swims. I was surprised how water resistant and effective Thinksport sunscreen has been for me. I am completely sold on using exclusively when I am in the sun and water.
It takes too long to rub in, it is tacky/greasy feeling and will leave a white "cast" on your skin for a while, on top of smelling bad. I genuinely don't understand why this product is rated so well on here. And on top of that, Consumer Reports ran analysis on this sunscreen and ranked the UVA performance as excellent, however, its extremely poor performance with UVB radiation made them rank this as one of the worst sunscreens they tried (this essentially means it isn't actually SPF 50, closer to SPF 10-15). Their review matched my own personal experience with it as well.
