I buy 3 packages of cord locks every year.
I have bought these for 25 years. I always find uses for them. There are 4 packages in my drawer now and 2 sets in my equipment drawer of my Hummer. I use them on any drawstring bag, especially for my 2 disabled daughters who cannot deal with knots but these cord locks are no problem. The sales people at the 3 stores in our area say "please leave some for our other customers!"
Reliable product
Reliable product, not the first time I've purchased this. I miss the wider selection of slides and locks REI used to carry. These items have multiple uses not only for gear but around the house and workplace.
Solid cord locks
These were just what I needed. They have great grip and are sturdy, not like the chintzy ones you can buy in bulk other places. I have no doubt they would be fine if I accidentally dropped something on them or sat on them. I really crank my shock cord down and these hold well.
The most amazing little things
Perfect for when the dog needs to go out quickly and you don't feel like tying your shoelaces, but you also don't want to trip. The neutral color makes them perfect for just about any item you would like to pair them with. I bought 2, just in case.
Quick temporary lace adjustments
There are a multitude of uses for the toggle locks, especially for fast temporary locking of laces. T use one to secure the sweatpants waist laces instead of tying a knot. This eliminates having to fish around inside the waistband when one end gets pulled inside, too.
Very weak cord lock
I used this on Gear Aid Elastic Shockcord for my backpack. The ends of the cord slips very easily with minimal pressure, so basically it doesn't do anything. It might work for other cords but I was disappointed to see this not work with another product from Gear Aid.
Ideal DIY Travel Belt Buckle
Forget the TSA hassle taking off your belt! The Ellipse Toggle has an elliptical opening and easily fits two ends of a length of paracord. I made a belt. Tie a bow at the end for a no slip easy travel hack. Just works. I purchased the black toggles enough for two belts and use them to great effect on my Rothco military shorts. Thanks, SnailsPlace (IG)
Works Well
Seems well constructed and durable (I've only had them a few weeks). The spring is a little stronger than average which makes it slightly harder to release, but that's good for keeping it locked in place.
Holding in place with no fuss
These little, spring-loaded, draw string holders are a simple yet efficient way to hold the strings in place with out tying any knots. Plus faster on and off of items. Plus they can be used for a variety of tasks. At this price a steal.
Sturdy replacement
I purchased this to replace the broken toggle cord lock on my top-loading Deuter backpack. Installation took seconds, and after several test pulls and loosenings, the replacement has worked great. It's a little prone to catching on the cord unless you depress the spring quite hard, but this quickly goes away with use.
