Rated 5 out of 5 by from travel handy Just purchased this jacket for travel to places expecting rain. The REI info lists this as water resistant but product tags included with jacket list it as waterproof. The jacket folds down nicely for packing, worked fine in the rain with hood (which is not removable). I purchased this jacket due to it's length, to cover the current longer length styes, and that it was a bit dressier than traditional travel rain jackets. I am very happy with the look for travel. The small size fits fine for size 6. It is light weight so it needs a layer underneath for use in cooler climates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Color, Style and Length We're going to Europe this summer, and I'd read that showers/rain in the higher elevations was possible. In an effort to pack lightly, I was seeking a light-weight yet stylish jacket that was on the longer side. This jacket is perfect! Based on other reviews, I opted to purchase a large; one size larger than I usually buy (I'm 5'6", 135 lbs). The large is a little big in the arm length - but there are two buttons, so you can make it fit without having the sleeve hang over your hand. It's perfect everywhere else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy, stylish, and practical I was looking for a rain coat that would appear "dressier" for work and off-site meetings. This rain coat fits the bill! It is beautifully made- the material is strong and quite waterproof; the paneling is very flattering; the tie-belt has a sewn-in panel in the back to keep it from sliding out; and, as everyone else has noted, the length is absolutely perfect. The belt ties a little high up for my natural waist, but then again, I don't really have much of a waist anyways so I've learned to get over that point. For biking purposes, it is absolutely great for rainy Eugene weather. I really appreciate the longer length for the front coverage while biking. The pockets are great for easy access to my keys and phone. I usually wear a small in jackets. I bought a small and it fits fine for everyday wear. When I have a chunky sweater or layers on underneath it doesn't look super flattering, but then again, something I've learned to get over. This coat is nearly perfect, and the price is phenomenal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Columbia Pardon My Trench Jacket I love the style of the jacket. It just so happen to be raining when I picked it up at my nearest store and I put it on and was well protected from the elements. The only drawback to the jacket is that it ran on the small side and had to return it for the larger size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what I bought it for Needed something nice to wear to work during Spring. This jacket looks nice and keeps me dry. There are back vents so it isn't completely windproof, but it does great with the daily Seattle mist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Travel Buddy I bought this jacket about 3 years ago on a whim for a trip to Europe and it couldn't have been more perfect. It is easy to layer and protective while being fashionable, easy to pack/lightweight. I wore it almost every day and got so many compliments every time I did. Finally, after much wear and tear, I am here to buy a new one because it works so perfectly for so many occasions.

Does the coat front flap close with snaps or 'velcro'? I love the snaps on my old Columbia rain coat, as they are durable and easy to open close w/one hand as the other holds the dog leash.

Asked by: lisa
This jacket is secured with button snaps.
