Great Little Tool
This was purchased to replace a SuperTool 300 that I ended up giving the TSA after forgetting I had it in my bag. The Rebar is a great little tool perfect for projects around the house and camping. This multitool is not as bomb proof as the ST 300 but it is much lighter and fits into my hand better. Blades are sharp right out of the box (although honing never hurts) and the new style blade release is a vast improvement over the old one leatherman's had.
It will definitely outlast me
I've had my Leatherman Rebar for about 6 years I use it every day I've lost it in the mountains of Arizona that I never see it again went back and found it thank God
It Will Last
I have had this thing for about 6 years, using it as a fishing tool (cutting line, holding flies, removing hooks). I keep it in the pocket lowest on my fishing vest, which, very frequently, becomes submerged in water when I wade. This thing has been soaked, dried, soaked again, dried again, and so on, countless times over six years and still works and looks good as new. Highly recommended for any one who needs a cheap but effective tool to take a beating.
My favorite multi.
I've had this one for a few weeks now and it's already made it's way to the top of the heap. I own two other multi tools that are stashed for emergency use, but the rebar goes with me nearly everywhere. It has everything I need and nothing I don't. The only thing I wish it had was a blade that was accessible without unfolding the tool (like the wave, etc.) Multi tools are always about compromise though. I still think highly enough of this thing to give it 5 stars.
Manageable size
I like this tool. No frills or gimmicks, just sturdy. Like the classic Super Tool, only in a more manageable size.
Grest tool. Great Design
Got the Rebar for my birthday in mid June and it's already saved my hide twice. Great locking blade design, doesn't slip like my old leatherman. Was a replacement for my old leatherman that I left on top of a 6,000 foot rock...but I'll go back for it. I love that old knife!
Bought for the Philips but finding it indepensible
Didn't realize how useful this tool would be. I really bought it to replace my Swiss Army Knife. Going on a three week cross country motorcycle trip. I find myself using this bad boy more often than I ever thought I would. And I haven't even started on the road trip!
Extremely Useful!
I've needed a multi-tool for a long time, and I finally got one. This Leatherman is perfect for all of the random weird things you need to do! It's not the biggest, most complicated, and expensive Leatherman, but it does everything that I need it to do.
Nice to have
Good quality. Not as strong as I’d like (I want screwdiver strong) but still handy for around camp or daily activities
Funny Metal
A lot of 5-star reviews are about Leathermans bought decades ago, so I'm not sure if something's changed, but the metal for the tools isn't as nice as the picture. It's a flatter gray, and I'm wondering if the screwdriver is die-cast. Maybe this is a super strong alloy that's more reliable, maybe it's cost saving, but it certainly is a little disappointing if you thought the tools would be sleek and shiny.
