Sizing notes

CHEST: Measure at the widest point. If the person is muscular, take a second measurement at the armpit area, across the upper chest. Use the larger of the two measurements. HIP: Place the tape around the hips and across the widest point of the buttocks. Make sure that all pockets are empty. INSEAM: This is also referred to as the “crotch to ankle bone” measurement. Have the person stand with legs straight and feet about 12” apart. Measure from the crotch area, snug up against the body, down to the ankle bone. SLEEVE LENGTH: Hold arm directly out to the side, parallel to the floor, palm down. Bend the elbow forward, stop hand in front of nose. Place the tape at the base of the neck, starting at the spine. Run tape along the arm, turn at the elbow, measuring to the wrist bone. WAIST: Measure around the narrowest part of the waist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Dry Suit!! I bought this to extend the season for Kayaking. I am very impressed with the suit overall and the Gor-Tex is very comfortable. I used it during one of our 70+ degree days here recently and did not overheat. The gasket for the neck is a bit tight, however, read a few other reviews and stretched over a soup kettle to help loosen it. I was concerned at first about neck movement be restricted, but when wearing in conjunction with a life jacket, range of motion in good. The reinforced knees and seat are extremely nice for our more shores. Really happy that I spent the little bit more to get this suit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from White water rapids meets the final frontier. Comfortable enough to fight Klingon's by night and and shoot some sweet rapids during the day. Allows me to boldly go into cold water that I have never gone into before. I really Khan't say enough about this suite. Not since star date 2010 have I been been so dry in the water. I usually have my friend Scott beam me up once I'm wet, not anymore! I had no Tribble putting on or taking off the uniform, I mean suit. Vulcan probably find a cheaper suite but I don't recommend it. If you like to explore strange new worlds and seek out new life and new civilizations this is the suite for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome protection and warranty I windsurf in New England, so this suit gets a lot of use. A layer or two of heavy long underwear underneath keeps me toasty. I've used it for the last 8 years and been very happy, but over the years it developed small leaks, so this summer I sent it to Kokatat to have them seal them up for the princely sum of $30 + shipping. Well, turns out they found a delaminating section, so they are replacing the whole suit for free! Now that is the best warranty service I've ever received. These suits are pricey, but you can't go wrong with a Kokatat.

The sleeves at my wrists are so tight that it is restricting blood flow to my hands. Has anyone trimmed the sleeves to lessen this problem without losing the waterproof function ?

Asked by: JohnG
Well, I answered my own question. I placed softballs the the sleeves to loosen them up a bit, which appears to have worked just fine.

The medium socks will measure 11.5 inches. The large socks will measure 12.5 inches. The measurements were taken from the toe seam to the heel seam.

Is this dry suit suitable for submersion? I'm interested in something for safety in the event I tip out of my kayak in cold water/weather. Could be in the water for a couple of minutes before assisted or self rescue.

Asked by: BWhite
This dry suit will keep you completely dry if you become submerged. It is a great choice.

I know that one of the comments was on Windsurfing New England. But I would like to purchase a dry suit for future surfing in New England. Would this keep dry with me sitting in the water?
