Warm and wide but...
I was looking for warm, wide, water proof boots. On all counts this is a good boot. However, my foot falls between size 7 and 8 and I tried both, but the same problem I had for both - when walking or driving, the top part of boot presses into the top part of my foot and is uncomfortable (I have high arches and have had previous foot issues from boots pressing into the top part of my foot). I heard from other customers trying on the same pair that they feel snugger than previous years' versions of the same boot. Not sure why Bogs made the change. Sadly I had to return them and am still looking for good winter boots.
Great boots!
I bought these boots because I live in CO and needed something that would be warm and durable for winter months. I love how easy they are to put on and how warm they keep my feet. I have mostly used them to pull on quick while I walk the dog in city snow. I have also tried them out in deep snow in the woods and they did great. The only warning I will give is despite a good traction on the bottom they still are rubber and can be very slippery on ice, so I just opt for walking next to the sidewalk in the snow. Overall great boot and well worth the money!
Snug & Warm
Wahoo! Warmth and comfort are mine! :) After going through a two year nightmare with bulky, uncomfortable boots, I finally decided to wise up and go with something more practical. These boots are incredibly warm, they're easy to take on and off, and they look pretty slick. I love how they hug my ankles and lower calf. They look and feel great. I tested the tread on some ice and they actually had some grip. All in all, I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone looking for something comfortable to wear in wet, cold weather.
AWESOME for winter!
I go to school at Northern Michigan University in Marquette Michigan. The Upper Peninsula has pretty crazy weather in the winter and these boots handled it all very well. I used them a lot for field work in streams and very deep snow and my feet were always very warm and dry, even in below 10 degree Fahrenheit temperatures. I would highly recommend these boots!
Loving them, so far!
Got these just in time for a wet and rainy week! Really happy with them so far. I've had trouble finding a boot that will keep my feet warm, even when I'm outside for a long period of time and these seem to work well (even with thin socks). Feet get a little sweaty, but it's a small price to pay for keeping them so warm. I typically wear 7.5, bought an 8 and they fit well.
MOST COMFORTABLE BOOTS EVER!
So comfortable! I wore them all day today (first day) and not a single blister! I do research on a farm, so I am walking around in sticky mud all day. I really felt like I was wearing slippers. The temperature went from 30 this morning, up to 60 this afternoon. I was comfortable the entire time. These also provide great arch support!
Wonderful boots
I ordered Bogs because a couple of my friends own Bogs and love them. My black rain boots arrived today and I haven't taken them off. They are not the snazzy coloured ones.....just black and practical...also warm, comfortable and waterproof. My reasoning behind buying these boots was because I live in an area of WA State that is very rainy, mucky and dirty. The temperature in the winter is not too bad....30's and 40's, but the rain is constant. They come about half way up my lower leg (I thought they would be higher) The size runs 1/2 size smaller than what I wear for all other shoes, boots and runners. I am glad I purchased a size 9 since I am 8.5. I also have narrow feet and the boot feel s a bit too wide, but that's OK, because they are comfortable and keep the rain and water out. I wear thick socks and that takes care of the wide girth problem. Good price for the quality. Will be buying a shorter Bog boot that does have the nifty colours on it. My new favourite boot.
Great boots!
I live in WI and walk at least 2 miles a day in all different types of weather so I needed something that would keep me warm and dry. These boots did not disappoint. They are extremely comfortable and easy to walk in. The only thing I dislike is that my feet seem to sweat a bit in them. I don't wear wool socks though so that could be why.
I did buy this product again
I bought this version of Bogs about 15 (?) years ago to use for gardening and walking the dog during wet weather. I was amazed to find that they were also warm enough for Wisconsin winters. They took the place of a pair of under performing (uncomfortable, shin slapping) rubber boots and a pretty decent pair of big, bulky pack boots. Those original Bogs are now being used by an environmental researcher who really needed them. I immediately replaced them with this ever so slightly different but every bit as excellent Bogs. I slipped in a pair of insoles and am looking forward to another 15 years of warm, dry feet here in Wisconsin.
So comfortable and warm
I bought these boots to wear outside in cold weather when I am hiking, playing with my kids or doing yard work. I have worn them practically everyday since November (and its now Feb) and they are so incredibly comfortable, warm and dependable. My feet rarely get cold, only when I'm standing around in really cold weather. I have also gone on several long hikes and walks with them and my feet have felt fine, as if I had been in hiking boots. I have worn these in Northern California, Minnesota this winter and next Iceland. I wear a size 6 and bought a size 6 and also have very wide feet and these fit me perfectly.
