Great everyday skirt
I bought this skirt a couple months ago and have worn it at least a few times a week since then. It is my new go-to piece. It shows no signs of wear, even though I have worn it so much. I am petite with a small waist and larger hips, and I do not feel self conscious in the skirt as it does not pull across the front or look large on me. My boyfriend has started to ask when I am going to get more skirts like this since he thinks it looks good on me. I am surprised how many compliments I get in such a seemingly simple black skirt. I would definitely purchase more of these.
Mountain Stylin' & Fab Fit for Larger Women
Love this skirt because it helps cover up my magnificent muffin top and wide hips, and it looks great with leggings! I'm 5'5" and about 160 lbs, usually wear a size 12-14, and was thrilled that the Large fit perfectly. In the past, I stopped buying skirts because they were so dang clingy to my mega-muffin-top (more like a cake top) that I couldn't deal. And even if I wore a long sweater or tunic with the skirt, I worried that people might see my bold belly if my top rose up. But this skirt has just a wee bit of extra room or flare through the hips and tummy, so that it's comfy, flattering and stylin'. And when I wear it with a sweater, I don't even have to wear any Spanx with it (I can breathe again!) Run and get this because it looks great at work with a nice sweater & leggings but it also works if you're going casual to the movies.
For work or evening
This is a casual skirt that I wear to work with leggings or when I go out. The simple criss-cross of fabric on the front and back of the skirt is a cute touch and is flattering. The skirt is very comfortable and easy to move in. It is also just the right length for work (I'm 5'7 and it is just above my knees). I like that it shows a little form in my butt but it flows at the bottom. I'm 130 lbs and I decided to get a medium instead of small so that it was a little less tight in my butt, but I could have gone either way.
Big Thumbs Up
I am a big fan of the H.T. samba fabric. I love how soft and easy to wear it is. The skirt is comfortable and looks great. Can be dressed up or down, with Chacos or leggings and boots. Great, versatile, comfortable skirt. Oh and will travel well to boot. I am 5'8", 137 lbs, and the medium fits great.
Not like photo-too long
I ordered this skirt in XS based on my other H. Toad products, that I love. This skirt seemed bigger than my others, plus it was longer by a few inches than on the model. The skirt hit me just below the knees. I'm 5'2"-short but not overly. It seems that they should make the XS adjusted for length, so it fits correctly. I would have liked the skirt if it fit as in the photo, but I returned it to the store.
Outstanding all-around!
I am on the site today to buy another one of these skirts, I'm just debating on the color. I am almost embarrassed to say how often I wear this skirt, it's an amazing article of clothing. I can dress it up, or dress it down, it's extremely cool and comfortable (I live in AZ), and dries quickly. It is suitable for physical activity and super comfy for just laying around. It takes a beating (dirt, sweat and dog slobber on it frequently), although it is still feminine and lightweight. I am 6' tall, HWP but curvy and the fit is very flattering. The large fits me well (I'm usually a size 10-12), although I have the waistband sitting below my waist (comfy!). I have received many compliments and admiring looks when wearing this skirt, especially with some casual heels. It also goes well with flip flops, casual sneakers, running shoes and cowboy boots, t-shirts, tank tops, and other casual tops. It washes up well and dries quickly, without shrinking or losing its shape. I can roll it up and stuff it in a bag, and the wrinkles shake out after just a little while. I really can't say enough good things about this skirt. It's a beautiful, flattering workhorse. The licorice color is darker than pictured on the website, and is a black-brown. Very versatile, it goes well with either black, gray or brown accessories.
Perfect!
Usually as a middle school teacher, I would wear slacks to school, but this skirt is even more comfortable than slacks. It makes getting dressed for work so easy, almost every top in my closet matches and looks great with it, from twin sets to Life is good tees. It all works. I think in the winter I will wear it with leggings, but for now, in s. cal., it is so perfect. They really got it right on this one1
christmas Gift
i bought this for wife while shopping over Christmas vacation. She tried it on and liked, but wanted to wait to get. I bought it for her then and she has really liked wearing it. It is very comfortable. She has also received many compliments on how good it looks.
versatile
I brought this with me on a trip to Puerto Rico and it was great for a walk to the beach, sightseeing and for our nice dinner out. Very versatile and while it wrinkles a little, it packs well.
Great skirt
This is a comfortable skirt out of soft material. Even if you carry extra weight through your hips it looks flattering and isn't too body hugging. If you usually are unsure if you should order up or down a size, I would order the larger for a nice drape.
