Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good times I have owned an Aerobie for a long time and really enjoyed how it flies. My wife and kids enjoy the Aerobie design with the rubber outter ring making it softer to catch. The Skylighter has two small LEDs that illuminate the disc. I've owned other lighted frisbees, and the Aerobie is very good in comparison. I would purchase again. One thing to note, the Aerobie is a lighter frisbee design and is good for light breeze. The Skylighter is a larger and heavier disc that can take a little more gusts. I have not tried it in heavy wind, but I would think it could handle some heavy wind at the beach.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cooler than Cool! This disc is really cool to throw at night! It's easy to track with the lights (and easy to find) and flies pretty straight. Lots of fun for older kids/adults but wouldn't rec. for younger ones. Disc is made of hard material and very durable. This can make for a hurtful catch if not caught properly. Also, need to have good depth perception in darkness cuz it seems to being coming towards you fairly quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nontraditional, but serious disc... The Aerobie Skylighter has a bigger diameter than the Aerobie non-lighted disc, and more heft. I like it a lot more. It weighs 175g, as much as an Ultimate disc, so it is stable and can be thrown long distances with good predictability. Actually, it is, in disc golf technical terms, a little overstable, meaning that if you are right-handed and you throw it backhanded and level, it will eventually curve to the left, but not excessively. Once you get a feel for the overstability, it throws just like a traditional disc. It has enough inertia to fly well in strong wind, but the elastomer edge cushions the impact if someone throws the disc hard. Now, to the subject of lighting. Unlike the gentle striped glow of the Nite Ize Flashflight (I like it, but not as much as the Aerobie), the Aerobie Skylighter loudly announces its presence with two ultra-bright white LEDs at the hub. They illuminate the disc and its periphery. The effect, when thrown, is a flickering disc that is easily visible from hundreds of yards away. The LEDs have been described as the brightest disc lights versus all the competitors. I cannot speak to the ease or lack thereof in replacing the battery because we have only done about three hours of throwing and the LEDs are still brilliant. We keep the disc at relatives' home so we see it once a year; this is our second year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Frisbee! If you are looking for a frisbee the is easy to use and offers lighting for continued play after the sun goes down, this is it. This thing can literally fly for several hundred feet and is extremely accurate. Great for all types of frisbee play.
