Lightweight and oh so fabulous

Get the long, no matter what. I've had mine for several years. It wears well, washes well and dries quickly. Keeps my sleeping bag cleaner & gives options for warmer or colder weather. It's great on a cold plane, in tropical climates or skanky hostels and doubles as an anti-mosquito layer when desperate (yes, you can breathe through it). I am only 5'5" and when I want to pull it over my head, the regular is too short.

Very thin material. Thought it would be a little heavier.

Fits the bill

I bought this for my BA sleeping bag. The last few times I was out it was a little warm and unzipping the bag left me just a little uncomfy. I also, while being too warm, began to perspire a bit which caused the bag to feel muggy. So I bought this and gave it a whirl and it was absolutely fantastic. I could vent the bag when it got a little too warm and not completely expose myself to the air, and I never felt like I was sticking to the bag and allowed me move around inside my bag with little effort. All in all a great product. It did seem to me though that with a little experience with a sewing machine and some fabric you might make one a lot cheaper. cheers

Ultralight and Awesome

This silk bag liner is exactly what I was hoping it would be—a real boost in warmth with basically zero added weight or space to my pack. It’s small enough to go in the same stuff sack I use for my underquilt so it literally takes up no extra space and the weight is negligible. I’m a cold sleeper and a hammock backpacker and I don’t want to have to carry a top quilt unless it gets down into the lower 40’s, but the underquilt is often not enough for me even during the summer. This also is great if you’re staying in hostels. You can easily toss and turn inside of this and it doesn’t get tangled up around you. Such a nice upgrade for weight-conscious cold sleepers.

Worth it

So glad I bought this (navy, regular length) liner. It is great when your sleeping bag is a little too warm for the environs and you need just something light to cover you. It's equally great for times when your sleeping bag isn't enough and you need something extra warm but breathable. It's also great when you need to protect your sleeping bag because there were no showers available and you aren't as clean as you'd like to be. So much easier cleaning and drying this than a whole bag. Also, it feels glamp-orous to slip into a silken cocoon at the end of a hard day on the trail. I would totally recommend.

No more clammy sleeping bag feeling!

This liner/sheet worked great in preventing that - kind of damp feeling I always get in my sleeping bags. Makes your sleep so much more comfortable. Material is very lightweight, silky sheet material - sleek, but not slick. The material does not stretch. The opening is at the top so you do have to slide into it. It folds down a little, so can stick your arm out, but not your leg. It could be a stand alone sleeping bag for very hot weather, but it is very lightweight - lighter than a regular bedsheet material. I bought a standard, but i recommend a long. Nevertheless it definitely upgrades your sleep.

Better than expected

This was better than I expected! I was a little thrown off that it didn’t have a zipper to get in and out of it, but figured I would try it and if I didn’t like it would return it. Well, I will be keeping it! Super comfy and since I got it a little larger, it was easy to get in and out of it. I felt like my sleeping bag was cleaner, and the no-zipper was nice to not sleep on it. I am one that rolls around when I sleep, but never felt restricted. Also love the little bag, even though it is a little hard to get back in. I have been mostly car camping but I may even throw this into my backpacking bag. Highly recommend.

Should have bought this sooner.

This made sleeping in my bag a more comfortable experience. I have an awesome bag - Nemo Salsa 30 degree, but I stick to it when I sleep or get tangled trying to roll over - my experience in other bags, too. This liner, allowed freedom of movement. The fabric didn't stick to me & felt good pulled up to my chin. It looks to be very delicate, but seems durable. I like that is a color & not white, so it won't show the dirt, as I am planning on it keeping my bag cleaner on those multi-day hikes, where you go to bed without a proper shower.

Perfect for Hot Weather Travel

On the recommendation of a sales associate, I bought this as a sleep sack for my son to use in Ithaca New York in August until his bedding arrived at his dorm. It turned out to be the perfect weight and texture for the heat and humidity (the cotton made it cooler than a purely silk liner). I packed this sleep sack with an REI back-packing towel and inflatable pillow into his suitcase. The whole set took up the space of a t-shirt and kept him comfortable and clean for as long as he needed it. Perfect hot weather travel bedding.

So warm! Don't even need a sleeping bag

I got this liner for a backpacking trip across Europe. I knew I wouldn't be showering very often so I got it to protect my sleeping bag from "the funk". Most of the time, I spent the night laying on top my sleeping bag inside the liner. Using just the liner, I was comfortable on nights getting down to 60 deg F. I am 6'2" and this seemed a little short on cooler nights.

Feels great, keeps bag clean, packs down light.

I love this sleeping bag liner. I used it in a summer bag rated for down to 40 degrees. We had an unexpected cold front come through while out and it did get down to the forties one night. While I bought the liner for cleanliness I did find it added heat on that cooler night and I woke up much more rested than my counterparts who were without a liner. This liner also fits nicely back into the bag it comes in, a lot of times you can't get it back in no matter how hard you try, I folded one time and it slipped right in!
