Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has essentials, doesn't fit aiare book This is a useful basic backcountry snow kit with some essential tools to aid in characterizing snow and your terrain. Both the kit cover and the tools seem to have durable construction. One con, whichi could easily be corrected by the manufacturer is that the kit is too small for a typical aiare or all-weather notebook.

Is the case soft plastic or hard plastic? If you fall on it will you break the slope meter and the thermometer ;) ?

Asked by: devo
The case is fairly soft, it is not a hard plastic. However, we have heard feedback that the case does still offer good protection for the contents inside.
