Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product, Good Price, Versatile. I use it to get Mountain Bike footage, but it seems to be versatile enough to get amazing footage/shots during basically any activity. The only reason i gave it 4 stars is because due to the riding position the camera points a little bit down; but nothing it cant be solved with other mounts already included with the camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! This is the best way to shoot GoPro footage on a bike. It gives you more of a feel of the trail than the helmet mount. It is also rock solid with very little shaking. The only issue I have had is if you have the WiFi backpack on the GoPro it is hard to get the camera angled up high enough to get good shots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from just what i wanted I'm a skier and a biker. I got this unit mostly for Bike tours after the handlebar mount proved a little unstable for making good video. Immediately i was impressed with how stable and comfortable the unit was, even after riding for hours. Not to mention I have made some pretty good skiing videos with it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What you see is what get Used this for a rafting trip down the American River, and it did it's job. Wish I had brought a helmet mount, but that is simply because when rafting your arms get in the way and you don't get the best view of the river. Versatile with other extensions, and once your mount is in, it's pretty solid. Things like skiing and mountain biking are perfect for this type of mount. Whatever you do, just keep your arms outta the way!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Create cool shots! This is very well made and is easy to use. Nice 'no hands' shooting except for turning on and off of my Gopro Hero 3 Silver. Creates a very cool perspective shot. It's a Gopro....from REI. Great product / Great service. Enough said.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use Ease of use is simple. It's comfortable when I use it mountain biking. I like the perspective it gives the viewer. Lots of uses, only limited by what your imagination can think of...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cycling view I bought this harness because when cycling having the camera on my head makes it weird when I have to look around. But the problem with the chest harness is it is always slightly down and all you see is my handlebars and my legs. Not really happy with it. I will try it again maybe I can adjust it differently of just use it for hiking.

Questions & Answers

Which would be better for trail running, the chest strap or the head strap? Thanks!

Asked by: LexG
We believe the choice between the chest harness and head strap will come down to personal preference. The chest strap will provide a more secure mounting position but may chafe you during running. While the head strap will eliminate the possibility of chafing, it may shift position on your head while running on rugged terrain.

How and where does this fit/feel for chesty women?

Asked by: Trigal19
The Chest Mount Harness is fully adjustable with elastic straps and will fit a wide range of chest measurements. The chest plate on the mount will rest in the middle of person's chest.

Can you wear this in reverse so the camera mounts to get a rear view / image? I want to get this for my husband who bikes, and sometimes takes our toddler with him in a rear seat. We want to be able to capture video of her.
