Mini Extension Pole + Tripod
I love the shorty! It’s compact enough to easily throw in my bag but still gives me enough extension to get the shots I need. I am very pleased with the built in tripod feature as well. It is sturdy so I don’t have to worry about my camera falling over and even fits on smaller width surfaces. I would definitely recommend if you are needing the compact size and the tripod is an added bonus.
Will not attach to anything
Very disappointed with this. The plastic feels very poor compared to all other GoPro stuff and it seems its not been designed well either because it simply will not attach to anything because the 3 pins are too close together. Forcing it, which takes some doing, into place just bends the outer pins outwards so the screw then cannot run through the holes because the pins are bent. I imagine using this for about a week would end up with either the shorty pins broken or the GoPro housing thing bent and/or broken too. 3 of us spent about 20 minutes with this and gave up. Booked a return before GoPro even knew the item had been delivered!
My favorite accessory !
Like in the title, I think this thing is awesome! I love that it is a really short (hence it’s name) accessory, so that you can just slip it in your pocket and then just screw on when you want to shoot and extend if needed. I also love the tripod part of it, so if you want to do a time lapse you can just extend if wanted and get the angle you want and then start recording! The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because when I screw my GoPro Hero 8 to this accessory it kind of is a little tight to push in between the two forks, and then to screw it in is a little hard because of that. So to sum it up this accessory is great, I would definitely recommend it!
Perfect Little Tripod
I got this for a trip to New Mexico after having my GoPro for over a year and just holding it anytime I wanted to capture anything. This little nifty holder makes life SO much easier! It extends just enough to get great shot but not too much.
Too light and barely fits Hero 8 Black
The design is good, but the plastic is a little too light for the use. Camera seems too heavy and tends to wobble a bit. In addition, with the Hero 8 Black, the mounts on the Shorty were too small. I had to apply much unneeded force to get the camera in place, and securing it was another story. Due to the size issue, the threads didn't line up perfectly so I spent a solid 15 minutes fiddling with it until it finally decided to work. TLDR; Mounting points need to be fixed for size differences between the camera's mounts and the Shorty's, and the plastic is too light for its use.
Doesn't work well at all
The concept of this is great, but it can't even hold up the weight of the GoPro it's designed to hold, so it's worthless. When using it as a tripod, the extension isn't strong enough to stay up, so it collapses in on itself and is only usable at it's lowest position, or if you wrap the expansion joints in tape to keep them in an extended position. When it is "forced" to stay extended by being taped in place, it's very unstable. Using any attachment to the side of a GoPro, like a lightweight LED attached to the side of a Media Mount, will make it extremely easy to tip over. Of all the GoPro accessories, mounts, and attachments I've used over the years, this is the only one I've ever been completely disappointed in.
Great short selfie stick tripod!
Short, lightweight, extendable and with a tripod. This lives attached to my GoPro for everyday adventure.
Great product
Just what I need to take awesome videos and pics

Honestly this is a very good mount. I believe it is good for anyone who does not need anything too complex, such as the Three Way 2.0 or the Volta. The small amount of space it takes up allows it to be carried almost everywhere, and it also works as the Handler in water. It can also extend up to three times which I believe is pretty amazing for blogging for social media. Other than that it can also be used as a tripod, which I find very useful. Main problems with me is the screw that connects the grip and the GoPro is sometimes loose.
