It’s so crazy to me that people can’t like this. I truly don’t understand why. What exactly are they expecting? One leaf is enough to wash my hands and face while backpacking. I also use one for a back country bidet just make sure you have enough water on “hand” (butt). It’s not too drying, very cleansing- lots of bang for the lightweight buck. I read one reviewer who is trying to wash entire tub of clothes while in France. If you’re in a hotel in France just go buy some laundry detergent for crying out loud. This is for backpacking or back country use were weight and space is your primary priority. No it will not wash a tub of clothes with one leaf! Let’s get our priorities straight people.

Bought this in hopes of it being a good and light substitute for bigger bar soap when traveling and backpacking. Brought it along camping to test when I had plenty of room and space to accomodate bringing a back up and was completely disappointed. It recommends 2 sheets but really requires near half the pack to get a lather going. Can't say much for anything else about it as it was so difficult to get an actual lather up that any of the other considerations (i.e. scent, moisturizing, etc.) became irrelevant.

Smells great!

This is such a great product! It's wonderful for a short trip or for camping. My only issue is that it's pretty easy to go through quickly with only 50 sheets. Additionally, it can be hard to use because you need a few sheets for a "real" bath/shower, therefore your hands are most likely wet and so it's easy to get the whole pack wet. If you're camping, it's much easier since you're typically not using as much water and soap. Also, it would be nice to be able to buy refills instead of having to buy a whole new container each time.

Surprised

Super surprised at the reviews, maybe it is expectation maybe intended use. I love my little 'bird baths' as my friend calls them when out backpacking. For light weight backpacking these are perfect. While you will never get a fully clean shower experience with these, that was not my expectation. You do have to be diligent about pulling out sheets when your hands are dry, otherwise they stick together as one would expect. I have found that success depends on what you are using to wash and the process you use. I lather up one or 2 leaves for the intended body part then wash with a small sponge. It takes 1 for face, 2 for each leg, 1 for each arm/pit, and one for each foot, 1 for privates. I think they work great and love not having to worry about bottle leakage or weight. Wish I could find them in bulk.

It works

This works nearly as advertised. You have to use more than what the package says to really get clean if you’re using it for a full blown shower which is a bummer, but it’s small, light, and you don’t have to worry about it spilling. If you’re only planning on taking a few showers, it’ll work splendidly. Bonus points for being TSA friendly. Bottom line, grab it if space and weight are at a premium otherwise I’d pass it up in favor of a liquid alternative

Great idea, not so great in execution

I recently bought this in preparation for a backpacking trip to India and really wanted to like this... The concept is a great one, but the execution is disappointing for its purported purpose: body wash/showers. As a prior review stated, "it can be hard to use because you need a few sheets for a "real" bath/shower, therefore your hands are most likely wet and so it's easy to get the whole pack wet." Agreed. Frankly, I'm not sure how many sheets it takes for a shower because I just gave up after a few and used the bar soap that the hotel supplied because with hot water being at a premium in India, I didn't have the time to fool around with the sheets & trying to get a lather! Maybe I'll use the rest for just washing my hands instead? I think they would work fine for that...

Handy

I just returned from a 16 day fly-fishing/raft trip from a back country river in Alaska. Weight of both gear and food for both commercial airlines and bush plane was a primary concern. The Sea and Summit gear that I chose to take fit in nicely with my weigh-in and needs for the trip. Trek and Travel Laundry Soap and Body Wash and liquid camp soap - I didn't bring much for clothes since weight was a factor. The leafs of travel laundry soap were handy for getting some laundry done about mid trip on a sunny day. The body soap leafs were handy and compact also. My fellow travelers appreciated them also.

Perfect for backpacking!

I love these so much! I don't like to carry liquid soap when backpacking as they always seem to leak, and bar soap is too big. For washing my face, these are GREAT! One little soap paper washes my face well, and it has a nice clean feeling and low odor. Other reviewers have said it takes a bunch of these to make enough soap for a shower, and I bet that's true. But for face and hand washing while backpacking, these ROCK!

Nice idea - terrible product

Bought this item for a multi-day hike in the White Mountains. Luckily I tried one of the pads before taking the "pocket" along on the hike. Pads do not clean, they fall apart and are tiny too! Not a item worth buying.

Great idea - not so great performance.

I found these stick together very easily if they get any moisture on them. Hands need to be very dry when handling and is difficult to use in wet conditions. Doesn't lather well and runs out quickly.
