Very happy with my purchase

After 4 years of paddling with a Carslile Daytripper aluminum shaft paddle, it was time to upgrade. I did my research and it all pointed to the Aqua Bound StingRay as a great paddle and value for the money. Purchased from REI around Christmas and was chomping-at-the-bit for spring weather and the water to warm up a bit. The wait was worth it! This paddle is amazing. So light and responsive it really moves my kayak along quickly. Did not really believe that a small difference in weight would make such a difference at the end of a day. Have been out with it many times this spring, summer and fall and am now a true believer. So happy with my purchase and look forward to

Terrific mid-price paddle

I needed to replace my 12+ year old similar paddle for my daily half-hour after-dinner outings on Flathead Lake. I was all set to get the more expensive Sting Ray or Werner paddle until I saw this $120 yellow-orange one for visibility and because I like bright. It came beautifully packaged. I love it. It gives me more powerful strokes effortlessly. If I were doing longer paddles I'd be inclined toward the $160 Sting Ray but this works fine for my purposes. I just lift my finger if I feel any tendency toward blistering so not a problem

Makes a huge difference!

I was amazed at how much this paddle really did reduce fatigue. I don't have a lot of upper body strength and found myself getting worn out on longer trips. With this paddle I out paddled almost everyone with us! It is so light, you hardly feel it, and it is sturdy and well built. The adjustable shaft is smooth and easy to adjust and take apart and it feels sturdy and well built. An excellent purchase for sure!

Even better than the more expensive paddles!

I bought this almost two years ago. It is my favorite paddle. My son keeps wanting to use it because he likes it best too. Smooth, easy to handle, comfortable. I have yet to get tired even after paddling for over 20 miles in one day....

Good Paddle

The paddle is lightweight and works well enough. I only wish the handle was oval instead of round so it conformed better to my hand.

perfect paddle for sit-on-top kayak

This is an easy to use 2 piece paddle. It is lightweight fiberglass with 3 positions for feathering. The price was right for this paddle; using it on a sit-on-top kayak.

Great Product

I’m new to kayaking and hardly an expert but I am very pleased with this paddle. It is very light weight and drives my boat easily over the water. The blades are well designed, and I like the two-piece construction. It breaks down easily but snaps together securely. The paddle is both attractive and efficient. I bought this on sale at a good price. Good quality for the money.

Good paddle

Great paddle. I recently purchased 15 foot canoe for my 4 year old son and I to take down rivers for camping. Naturally I handled most of the paddling with my son navigating. The paddle handled nicely pushing off stumps, roots and the like as well as the propulsion straight ahead during lazy episodes and more intensive episodes down the Alapaha River. Current gets rapped in some areas and tricky maneuvers are necessary. This paddle handled great! I just wish I got the longer one.
