This is a well made dry bag when used and packed properly. The size advertised is spot on and the main reason I got this was for what I wanted to fit in it. Plus the backpack straps for portages or walking a bit to start camp is a plus. It's the perfect size for a backpack in a kayaking situation and even fits well with PFD on. Fit's my sleeping bag (7.5x15), tent (6x20), and compressible pillow. Dose not fit in my dry hatch, but dose perfectly in the bow of my kayak. The backpack attachment can come off if needed and it's overall a well made bag/pack and no quality issues or defects. I know I will get years of use from this drypack.

New Material, Not doin' it

The boundary bags have been awesome for me and all my paddling. I've loved seal line and the tougher bags they make. I've been wanting a pack version of the dry bags for a while and got the 35L size. The whole PVC free and saving a few ounces- not worth the lack in durability. The corners of the folds had wear spots after two uses- in the back of a car, nothing rough! I'm super disappointed and returned this for the old version- sans Black Canyon. Sorry SealLine, but I don't recommend any of your bags with the new material.

5 years and going strong!

I have had the green 35l for 5 years and it is still tough as nails. I honestly have no idea if it is completely waterproof any more but nothing is when you drag it through rough usage for years on end. I have traveled for months, commuted 14 miles a day on my bike for years, used it for outdoor work for 4 years, and just treated this bag like dirt and it still is awesome. Dope bag and i would highly recommend trying one for yourself!

Coating ragged even at delivery

I ordered the 65l and 115l Black Canyon bags for packrafting. The bags look really good, comfortable to carry and well designed. Many things are adjustable to content and body. But as I took a closer look on the bag, I saw that the coating was scratched at two places so the white lining gets visible. And at a even closer look, there were some more spots where the coating isn't good – all of those spots are where the bag was folded. As you have to fold it for closing and crinkling is quiet normal in use, I guess the bag could loose its waterproofness quickly. If it gets damaged by shipping I ask myself how it gets around with rough conditions

Perfect for the die hard hike in boater!

I use my pack every three days and it is one of the best out there! Hiking down the steep trail with a loaded pack isn't easy. But with this pack, it makes it more enjoyable. The padded back helps when you accidentally put something sharp in the wrong place and the support helps when carrying large amounts of beer. I love how they integrated a frame pack style system into a dry bag. It makes my life way easier hiking to my boat every three days! Tons of room and super durable as well. I have put this pack to the test only owning it for a couple weeks. It has held up through thick and thin thus far. It's named the black canyon for a reason...

Great bags that keep your stuff dry when you aren't

I own a couple of these bags along with the Pro Dry Pack. I use them on all my outdoor whitewater trips and I am not nice to them. I have literally hiked with them through fire burns, dropped them down the sides of mountains, and sent them swimming down rapids. Every time, my stuff is secure, dry, and better off for being in this bags. The durability of these SealLines is unmatched by anything I have used and they are comfortable to wear for any portage. If you need something to keep your gear dry and accessible, pick one up.

Great bag; Better customer service

I bought the 70L bag 8 years ago for use while crewing on a sailboat. As such, it had to be loaded with about 35 pounds of gear (squall gear, self-inflating PFD, etc.) It wasn't treated gently, but worked consistently great. So great I bought a second for my wife when she decided to join in the sailing fun. This year the pads connecting the straps to the original bag began to fail. Not knowing what glue was appropriate, I looked up info on the SealLine website and they recommended sending it in for repairs. A week later I received a brand new bag! No issues, no excuses. What a really awesome company.

Mission Accomplished. Voluminous and reliable.

Placed $3000 worth of camera gear into pack and confidently went ocean kayaking with beach landing where I did get wet. Very pleased and time will tell how it holds up. Comfortable hiking around with 15lbs of load on my back. Waist strap helps and shoulder pads make for a good feel. One can hose out inside and outside and hang it to dry. Stores easily.

Dry and packable

I've been looking for the right dry bag for my camera backpack ... needs to be tough and high quality, but also sized right. This is the right Goldilocks bag ... just the right size, and because the bottom shape is oval instead of round, it's a better fit. Having adjustable straps for backpacking it is the icing on the cake.
