Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for the Clumsy I really liked these little toobs. My 13 yr. old daughter kept them in her bag for use after swim team practice. She dropped the conditioner toob and the cap shattered, rendering it useless. After a lecture and a couple of weeks, she dropped the shampoo bottle as well and again, the cap shattered. No, they aren't slippery, she's just clumsy. BUT,they are too expensive to not withstand one drop. If they would improve the plastic cap and make it more durable, I'd give it 4 or 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best I have ever used As an airline pilot, I have been constantly looking for better ways to carry small amounts of lotion, sunscreen, shaving gel, etc. This is by far the best I have used. They are very easy to use, clean, and fill. They are also very sturdy. I hope they come up with one that is even smaller for less frequently used products. Apart from that, the only negative I see is the cost. It would be nice if the small size was also sold in a three pack to reduce the price. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These bottles are great! I was looking for liquid containers that are smaller than the 3 oz. TSA limit. Many of our plane trips are short enough to use carry-on luggage only - I didn't need 3 ounces of any liquid to get me through a few days or long weekend, and the partially-filled 3 oz. containers took up valuable space in my zip-top bag. This 1.25 ounce size is perfect for trips up to a week in length. I filled the bottles completely and had enough shampoo, conditioner, etc., to last me a week. The seals are great - I didn't have any leakage issues, including my styling gel. I was able to get 5 GoToobs, travel toothpaste, small hand lotion tube, and several other travel liquid containers into my quart-size bag - brilliant! Since the tubes are made of silicone, they're sticky on the outside, so getting them into the zip-top bag takes a little maneuvering, but it's certainly not impossible to accomplish. The opening is wide enough to easily fill the tubes. I haven't rinsed or washed them yet, however, I believe that won't be a problem. The content labels are great, too. However, they can be a bit hard to read when you don't have your glasses on in the shower :) . That's why I purchased five different colors - so I could determine the contents by the color of the tube in addition to the label on the collar. For those who have commented that the hinges or covers should be made more sturdy - that may be the case, but the GoToob has a lifetime warranty and humangear stands behind their products. I called them to investigate whether I could purchase a replacement cap for my GoToob, and they sent me two caps for free, no questions asked! Whoever invented the GoToob had a great idea! They cost more than cheap travel bottles, but they're worth it, in my opinion. I doubt I'll have to purchase travel liquid containers for a very long time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cap hinge broke... A week in the hinge that holds the cap close broke. I saw a few more reviews where people had the same problem. For about [$], I would expect something better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really useful tool and great for my pack This tube is so much better than what lotion or sunscreen comes in. The slightly transparent color means I can see the contents. The varied color of tubes allows me a color for sunscreen, lotion, sanitizer and more. I love how pliable the tubes are. I no longer waste a drop. Plus, I can buy bulk large bottles and put a portion into tubes for my car, backpack, etc. I highly recommend these great little tubes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these little things Solid construction and wide-mouthed top screws off to make it easy to fill. Ideal for anything that needs to be squeezed out as the rubbery body allows you to easily apply high pressure if needed (compared to a more rigid plastic body). I h ave used for travel and for soap for backpacking. Only thing I would add is it easy to squirt out too much liquid but I got used to this quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for running gel I make my own energy gel for running longer runs. This holds the gel perfectly, easy to store in most stow pockets on shorts and holds a good amount. Easy to clean and has been durable to this point. No leaks or spills, have been able to use without losing stride.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Way to GoToob I feel oddly compelled to lavish praise on this little product- A big idea in a small package. I've found myself using it for most of its intended purposes, and some I don't think were intended. (I use one to carry vitamins or cold capsules around in my purse.) But I also want to add a little bit of soft criticism. I wish they had a few more colors, though the colors they have are good. I find it a little hard to read the ID words, though these days (at 65) I find it hard to read a lot of words. The suction cup doesn't last indefinitely, but it's nice at the (Bikram) yoga studio because they don't have a shelf handy. I like the fact that in buying this "safe plastic" product, I am supporting a new and environmentally conscious company. I got this as a gift, and plan to get some as stocking stuffers this Christmas.

Can I use these containers for rubbing alcohol and peroxide for my first aid kit?

Asked by: Albinus
From the Humangear web site: Non-Recommended While the range of chemicals used in modern cosmetic and personal care products makes comprehensive compatibility testing impossible, we have consistently noticed problems with the following chemical groups/product types and recommend against using them in GoToobs: -Alcohols (Note: Alcohols may be present in many cosmetic products, including make-up remover, mouth wash, astringent, hair serum, aftershave, and insect repellent). -Salicylic Acid (most often used in acne treatments). -Hair serums and treatments (detangers, relaxers, volumizers, polishers, smoothers, shine serums, etc.) including shampoos and conditioners designed to add shine or luster to hair. Products with Argan Oil (like Moroccan Hair oil) are definitely not recommended. -Silicone-based lubricants. -DEET-based insect repellent. -Hydrogen Peroxide. -Sterile products (Note: Even though sterile products may be fully compatible with silicone, GoToobs are not sterilized. Therefore, we don't recommend GoToobs for use with fluids where sterilization may be an issue, such as contact lens solution. This includes liquid or semi-liquid prescription medications.). -Caustic, corrosive, or flammable products. (Many household chemicals are sold in specifically designed plastic or glass containers specified by the manufacturer and should never be decanted. GoToobs were designed for personal care or food items you may need while traveling--not bleach, drain cleaner, fire-starters, or hydrochloric acid.)
