Great for thicker consistency products
I bought these to hold a variety of products (moisturizer, hair stuff, facial sunscreen) for travel and like them a lot. They're the perfect size, well made, and won't leak. There is one drawback that I noticed: The bottles have a valve that requires a certain amount of pressure applied to the bottle to dispense the product. It's great for products with a thick consistency. However, my sunscreen is a thinner lotion and I don't need a lot of it. I have to squeeze the bottle hard enough to dispense but when I do, it dispenses too much. I'll have to switch it out for some other product that's either thicker or that I can use more of at one time.

Handy size, disappointing cap function
I love this line of products and have used both the 2 oz and 3 oz size for 10+ years. This 2.5 oz size is a handy in-between. However, the cap has been redesigned, I assume to make it more flush. More compact is a good thing. However, it has two problems for my purposes: 1) hard to flip open with the thumb of the hand holding it. That is important when you're standing in the shower. 2) the membrane that holds liquid back is much stiffer, making it very hard to control the amount of liquid that comes out. By the time I use enough pressure for the liquid to come out, it spews out too much.

Great features & works as a infant starter feeder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So got this to store small 2oz baby first foods on the go...Apple sause, carrot sause, banana smoothie kind of liquid first foods for our 9 month old. We were planning to use this just as a storage container with a different feeding bottle or transfer to bowl and spoon feed. But surprisingly the no leak cover squirts out just the correct amount of food for my baby girl & saves us a huge effort in cleaning spills, and her clothes! Great product easy to clean easy to fill! Perfect baby feeding bottle! Designers hope you guys are reading this! Do a spin off specifically for baby feeding series!! :) ;)

Awkward

I had 2 of these and pitched them both at the end of my last trip. Their awkward size made it difficult to fit in with my other toiletries since the sides are tapered, made even more difficult when the safety spill cap was secured over the top for transit. Also, the cap was extremely difficult to open in the shower - the soft part almost came off several times while I worked to pry the cap off. Keep shopping - there’s bound to be a better, longer lasting product.

GREAT FOR AIR FLIGHTS!

Also bought larger size and used both. Perfect for flying! Used for syrup, honey and peanut butter for recent trip to US Virgin Islands where I didn’t want to pay extremely high prices for small amounts needed. No leakage!!! We don’t backpack so will not use for that application in future, but have small travel trailer and they will be very useful for condensing food supplies in our very small food storage area.

A lot comes out when you squeeze the bottle.

These travel squeeze bottles are well made and are perfect for carrying your preferred shower products when traveling, especially if you have to bring something through TSA. The reason I gave four stars instead of five is that the minimum amount of shampoo or conditioner that you can squeeze out at a time is quite large. Even with the cap open, nothing comes out of the bottle until you squeeze it because the aperture is elastic. It takes quite a bit of pressure to get anything to come out at all, and then once it does start coming out it's a lot. This is unlikely to be a problem for most, but if you are bald like me, you don't need more than a dab of shampoo or conditioner at a time (for those who don't know, losing your hair does not entail losing the need to treat your scalp). I have been using the bottles in the shower in hopes that they will get easier to squeeze stuff out of over time. I just open the cap of my shampoo and dump the excess back in every time. Anyway, if you want to use these for something that you only need a little bit of at a time, be forewarned that you might have to put some back in after squeezing it out.

Good stuff if used with the right material

Bought these for hand sanitizer for the cars. High quality product that you expect from REI. No leaks. Thick, pliable material. The only problem is regulating how much stuff comes out when squeezing. The valve is stiff so you have to squeeze hard. It would probably work fine for thicker stuff you want dispensed in larger quantities. We’re not using the thick gel. It’s runny which is part of the problem.
