Cheap universal temp wax for regular skier/boarder
Let me preface this, I ski a lot, I ski trees and mostly ungroomed terrain and love expert terrain but at resorts. This was my first time waxing my own skis and so I bought universal temp wax because, I'm not a professional or ski snob who waxes twice a day ( no offense to them, I am just jealous ;) I would say there is a Zen to waxing your own skis, it's easy and it's fun and it gives you something to do between ski trips. Also, you can undercut resorts and wax friends skis for half the cost.

There are better "Universal Waxes"
I have used a couple other varieties of universal ski wax and the Swix one by far has the worst glide. Used it on skate skis for a base was and it did not do well in warm or cold snow conditions. Its fine for downhill as low friction is not as important.

Slick as slick can be

Used this on my wife's skis and my son's snowboard. Works well and is a very consistent coverage. I wish it was less expensive, but you can't have everything. Since there is no chance of me stripping and re-waxing depending on temperatures, this was a great choice for me. This stick of wax will probably do three or four pairs of skis or snowboards. If they are really dry it may cover less.

Great all around wax

I have waxed my own skis since I've been skiing and, before that, I would wax my own snowboard. This wax is a great CO winter wax. I had a problem recently waxing my husband's skis with wax adherence, but it could have been his ski bases or it could have been the fact it was 5 degrees and I was waxing outside

Works well in all conditions

This wax has been great for all conditions. Applied easily and has held up to multiple days of skiing.

Not Good at Cold Temps

I have had some experience in hot waxing alpine skis, usually good. I applied this wax and scraped it down to a very thin coat. I took it out on a very cold day (-10 F). I could glide with effort on the packed snow but I bogged down in the fresh. It was like a kicker wax on cross country skis. After it wore off a bit, and the temps rose, it glided better but I am going to remove the wax entirely.

Perfect all weather wax

This is my go to everyday wax. I have tried high temp / low temp waxes and always come back to Swix Universal. I am not a racer nor do I just stick to the groomers but it always performs well for me regardless of temp.

No complaints!

Good all-temp wax. I've had good performance with this on cold mid-season days & spring skiing. I also wax my skis very often

Sped up my tele's on the cascade concrete

I'm not the best judge but this wax was a great glide enhancer.
