NW Forest Pass - amazing!

This product is amazing. I figured I'd put it on my car to protect it while I was backpacking for several days in the Enchantments. Worked like a charm - got back to the parking lot and found the car by the blue Rec Pas tag and there was no citation on it! And this is an area known for aggressive enforcement activity! I do feel it could be redesigned to be ultra-light; the same info could be conveyed in half the space AND instead of having to buy one for each bag night you could just put all the dates on one tag. This would save gas by making the car lighter. This is why I gave it only 4 stars. Still, the product worked as advertised.

Don't leave home without one!

I received an email from REI asking me to review my latest purchase, which was a Northwest Forest Day Pass. Well prospective purchasers, let me tell you that my day pass met all of my expectations! The paper on which it was printed was sufficiently durable that it withstood the journey to my destination, and the cutout at the top allowed me to easily hang the pass on my rearview mirror, per the instructions. Although I never actually saw anyone checking the pass, the fact that I did not have a ticket under my wiper when I returned tells me that the pass worked PERFECTLY! Good job REI! Please continue to have these available for sale, so that I may return from a hike and be assured of a vehicle at the trailhead with which to return home!

Convenience

We knew we were going hiking in the National Forests during our visit to the Cascade Mountains. What a pleasant surprise to find we could get our passes at REI. Can't get any more convenient than that!

1 Day NW Forest Pass

Great way to support your parks and worked great at keeping the rangers with tickets away from my ride, would highly recommend.
