Did its job, plus one it wasn't meant for
Carried these in my backpack in years before use. Finally, after foolishly hiking barefoot in sandals for an extended period I had blisters. The moleskin adhered well to the blisters... this plus changing footwear was enough to prevent any further damage and allowed me to stay comfortable, the blisters became a non-issue. Not long after this first use I found a second alternative use. One lens fell out of my glasses. I had no way to re-tighten the screw that should hold the lens. Rough enough terrain plus poor enough vision that I was at higher risk for a mis-step I started brainstorming how to fix my glasses. The answer ended up being mole skin. Sure it didn't look good, but it held my lens in place for 6 more ours of hiking and three hours driving home. It would have been tough without some sort of repair.

Moleskin material too thin
I would not recommend this product. The moleskin material is way too thin to adequately protect or prevent blisters. The whole purpose behind mole skin is to raise the area surrounding the blister to protect it from further abrasion. This moleskin is so thin it does nothing to protect the blister. I would recommend Dr. Scholl's Moleskin Plus Padding or similar thicker moleskin.

Saved many a hike

I am a huge fan of moleskin. I bring it on every hike. If you feel a hot spot, or even if a blister has already formed, it works! I should be a brand ambassador because of how much I like this product and recommend it to others. It has saved me on countless hikes. Seriously, just today I put some on at mile four of my ten mile hike and wasn’t concerned at all the rest of the way. I have heard once or twice from others that it falls off, to which I would tell them that there’s obviously something wrong with their foot. Or they’re doing it wrong because this product has worked like a charm for me every time.

It is better than no moleskin at all

I have used moleskin multiple times, usually while breaking in new uniform boots in the military. I purchased this product at REI to avoid running to another store. Pros: It is moleskin and they offer pre-cut shapes and multiple sheets. Cons: I found it to be thinner than what I was accustomed to. I overlapped the pieces where the hot spots formed on the lateral aspects of my feet (around the small toes). I overlapped pieces because the first application had rolled itself off of my skin onto the socks. Even the overlapped pieces worked their way off of my skin, but not as fast. When all is said and done, I would not purchase this product again; I will use what I'm accustomed to.

Great slim pack for backpacking! Glad I had it!

I saw this at my local REI store and picked it up even though my friends were bringing a first aid kit. I got a small rub on the ball of my foot during a 4 day backpacking trip and these moleskins did a fine job of keeping it from worsening. They were initially hard to peel off and hard to see where the shapes were on the page for peeling and my eyes are older so I struggled a bit looking it over... and since it was dusk I had even more difficulty than I should have... Very glad I had these along as I hiked the Skyline to Sea trail in Big Basin redwood forest near Santa Cruz.

Not worth it

I bought these in preparation for a long hiking trip. I tried to use them once during my trip and none of them stuck. The circles peeled off with no adhesive on the back of them. I tried multiple ones and none were adhesive. I would not buy this brand again

Moleskin

I use these for mountaineering and they work wonders! A pro tip is to put them on before the blister forms in areas you know may blister.

Gets the job done

I like that the dressings are pre-cut so I can just throw the whole sheet in my first aid kit and pick what I need. Alcohol wipes were also included so you can clean the area before applying. Super easy to use and do a wonderful job preventing horrible blisters.

No longer best product, try Leukotape instead

These are precut shapes, so not as useful as plain sheets. They also hurt to pull off regular skin. They are better than a bandaid, but I think Leukotape works a lot better for less cost, and is more flexible.

Worthless product

Thin with poor adhesive, this stuff rolled off when I simply put on my sock! As many reviewers have said, this is useless to prevent blisters and REI needs to sell a better product.
