Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what they once were I bought a pair these Voyager Cross-Trainers at the beginning of the summer. I hiked in them all summer and wore them to work through the fall. I wore holes in the inside of heels and wore all the nubs off the soles by November. Okay durability- but not ideal. Then I bought a new pair in January and by the end of Feb- they already have holes in the back inside of the heel! Very poor durability. I wouldn't recommend these for everyday use. I have been wearing Keens for about 5 years. Usually I buy a pair and use them almost continuously for one year before they wear out. But this is less common now. What's up with that Keen?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am obsessed with these. These are as close to perfect of a mixed use trail shoe I have found. I had a pair of Merrells which were serviceable, but were heavy, too tight across the instep, and just friggin' hot. I bought these with the express knowledge that Keen shoes have a more ergonomic toe box. I cannot get over how comfortable these shoes are. I have yet to use them in a trail situation with wet rocky terrain, so I can't speak to that aspect, but had no issues on wet asphalt. My only complaint is that I wish they had just a bit more cushioning in the footbed, but this could be easily remedied with an insole or orthotic. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort from the Start Bought these a month ago for a trip to Turkey + Greece to provide the needed support walking around the ruins. So far so good - from the moment I put the shoes on in the store they were immediately comfortable - probably most comfortable shoes I've worn. Toe box nice and wide - I usually have difficulty finding footwear that is wide enough for my feet. No break in period required to make these comfortable. Have been wearing these all day for a week and have no foot pain/discomfort at all. Feet remain nice and cool as well. Would definitely buy these again and definitely try other KEEN products now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rocked it on Mt. Mitchell! I bought these shoes 2 days before I hiked Mt. Mitchell. I wore them around for a few hours and then the next day hiked 13 miles in them. No blisters, no foot pain, These shoes were awesome. They were durable and comfortable and had I not just bought them, I would not have known they were brand new. My only complaint is that Keen should rethink the laces. While I like the color, the shoes need those little grip things to hold the laces tight. I felt like they loosened up often and I had to keep retying throughout the day. For comfort sake and durability, though, I couldn't have been happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Keen's I bought my Keen's last year prior to a hiking trip around Ireland. They are very comfortable and even though at the time I debated getting the waterproof version, I'm glad I didn't. These shoes dry quickly and I had no issues with blisters even with averaging 8-12 miles a day. I continued to wear them daily throughout the summer and winter. They are still in great shape. My Keen's have been hiking in Ireland, Utah, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and Oklahoma. I plan on using my dividend for a new pair and recommend them anytime someone asks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My best hiking purchase yet I bought these shoes at the beginning of the summer after finally retiring my last pair of hiking shoes. I have been very pleased with these shoes. My feet are well protected in these shoes and are a lighter option than a boot. My feet can actually breath in these shoes. I feel like they are pretty good looking too! I have had no trouble at all with blisters but I wear a liner sock and pre-tape my known blister spots. The toe box is large and so far I have had no issues with toes bumping the front, even on hilly ascents and descents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiking shoe I've owned! In one word: Wow! I'm glad I read online reviews and sought out this shoe!! Excellent materials and construction, this shoe is made to last. It was comfortable right out of the box, needed no wearing in. Two weeks after buying these I spent 4 days in Yosemite, wearing these everyday. During the trip I hiked approximately 30 miles, including the 14 mile 4800ft elevation gain trek up to the top of Half Dome and back. My feet never once got sore. If these shoes ever wear out I'll try to find the same ones again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Distance-Pacific Crest Trail Worthy When you go on a long distance hike, or any hike for that matter, you are going to need shoes that work well with you feet. My feet are rather flat which in turn makes them wide. The Keen foot bed is roomy and easily accommodates my large feet and those swelling from a long days trek. I thru-hiked 2,400 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2009. I probably averaged 20 miles a day over 5 months. I went through 4 pairs of Keen Voyageurs while on trail. After 350 miles the original insole was paper thin so I replaced it with a Superfeet insole and went a whole bunch more miles. Keen Voyageurs are not waterproof which is essential for PCT hiking. You want light weight, quick drying shoes that wont trap debris in the waterproof webbing. Also, each time I would put on a new pair, I had no blisters or any other trouble breaking them in. On 2 of the 4 pairs, the fabric inside the shoe behind the heal and around the ankle started to wear off. In one of the pairs this did cause some discomfort for my foot. Overall, the Keen Voyageur is a great shoe and I continue to wear them to this day. They got me through the dust of the California desert, the snow of the Sierra, the volcanics of Oregon and the rocky wetness of Washington! Thank you Keen Voyageur!

The picture shows the gray/blue colors, but the link only shows the gray/lime green colors. Is the gray/blue as shown discontinued?

Asked by: reigrl
We are not carrying the gray/blue version at this time. Keen still makes the color, but you can't order through REI, unfortunately.

When will new versions of this shoe be available? Are any of the Alaskan blue color still for sale? The lime green is really ugly.

Asked by: ls22
As of March 2017, this is the most current model of this shoe. We also do not plan to stock the color Alaskan Blue. All available colors are on our website.

How can I clean these shoes and not negatively impact the water resistance.

Asked by: Kathyb
Cleaning your Keens when needed will actually keep them waterproof longer. Use a product like Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel or Tectron Shoe Wash to clean your shoes. Then touch up the water repellency with something like Revivex Air Dry spray or Nikwax Fabric and Leather Waterproofing for Footwear.

I am hunting for a hiking shoe that is cushy and comes in a wide or has a very wide toe box. I have orthodics that I need to put in them. I also have planter fac. and a Morton's neuroma. Can anyone help me with suggestions? I love to hike and need a shoe

Asked by: kristen
I was looking for something similar Danner's boots work for me. Not as breathable as these Keen's but they make my feet so happy!
