Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Multitool I've owned After recently spending a year travelling abroad, I can't even begin to count the number of times this multitool saved the day. I would never have guessed how often I would find myself reaching for the trusty leatherman, but it's now a permanent addition to my belt. With excellent durability and craftsmanship, even cleaning is a breeze. I found it easiest to boil it in water, detail with a toothbrush, if necessary, then a light coat of wd-40 and it's good to go. I would, and do, recommend this to anyone in the market for a top quality multitool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compare what you need Compare the Charge tti with the Wave. If you need premium cutting blade steel over perfectly functional lower tier cutting blade steel and a weight savings of .3 oz and a few more bits, AND are a 20 year Leatherman fan like me, then get the Charge tti. If you are a little more grounded in reality, then get the Wave and buy the accessories as needed. You will be pleased either way.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can Not Recommend The Leatherman company has a good reputation, and I bought this because it was suppsed to be the best of the best. However, this tool does not live up to the expectation. Currently, I'm on my 3rd Charge tti. The first two broke during use (one with the pliers, and one with the screw driver), but REI's satisfaction guarantee replaced both without hassle. In both instances, the store clerk commented on how clean and new looking the tool appeared to be. It was clearly not abused by me when the breakages occurred. In my opinion, the tool seems too brittle, and will break under moderate use. I have no use for a tool that can not perform under normal work conditions. If the 3rd replacement fails me, I will not be repolacing the tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you want nothing but the best First let me say that I have many Leatherman tools: Micra, XE6, Wingman, Surge, Wave, Charge TTi, and a few no longer in production, so my review comes from my experience of using many Leatherman tools and, obviously, being a huge fan. In my opinion, it just doesn't get any better than this. It is true that the Charge TTi and the new Wave are very similar. Knowing that the Charge TTi is not going to be within everyone's budget, if you can't get a TTi then by all means get a new Wave. Having said that, I still believe it is worth it to save up a little while longer and get the TTi instead of the Wave. I purchased my Charge TTi with the leather sheath and also purchased the 21-piece bit kit and the bit extender. Everything fits together very nicely in a belt pouch made by another manufacturer. I don't think I am allowed to mention the name of that manufacturer but if you are into rugged heavy-duty belt pouches you can guess. With the belt pouch I also carry a flashlight and a "tactical pen" with a carbide glass-breaker tip. Together, this makes up a fantastic tool kit that you can have with you at all times. I have been using this for about a year and a half now and I am surprised at how often I actually use it in my day-to-day activities. The thing that really sets the Charge TTi apart from the others, for me, is the S30V steel main blade. This is probably the best blade steel available today. It just never goes dull. The Titanium handle scales are comfortable with smooth, rounded edges that do not bite into your hands. All of the tools are very usable and pull out of the handles nicely. They also lock into place, which is a huge plus as well, because you do not want any of the blades this sharp folding back on your hand when using it. I have used this Charge TTi for just about everything you can imagine and some things that it was never intended for. It can take a ton of abuse. Keep it clean and lubricated so that it will not start to rust. I also recommend the 21-piece bit kit. When someone needs a #6 Torx or a 1.5mm Hex where do they go? Yeah, I end up fixing a lot of things for a lot of people. If I would change anything at all about this tool it would be to add the replaceable wire cutters that Leatherman has on many of their heavy-duty tools, but even that is not really a criticism because if they ever broke Leatherman would fix it. I could go on but I won't. I will just conclude by saying that I love my Charge TTi and I highly recommend it over any other multi-tool out there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Multi-tool, Period. I have carried a Leatherman tool since they came out, many years ago. I have had the PST, a Super Tool, at least 2 Waves, the new Skeletool CX is hanging on my Maxpedition bag, and the one on my belt is an original Charge Ti. BTW, I have never broken one, but I have lost a couple and given a few as gifts. NOTHING is appreciated as much as a Leatherman in Central or South America, or on the Galapagos. I am buying a new Charge TTi to keep in the box and save. Titanium is pricing itself out of the market, if you want the strongest and lightest, get it now or they will be gone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent multi-tool This is the cream of the crop in the Leatherman range of tools - 19 tools and an assortment of bits for almost every use. The titanium handles look good and are comfortable to grip. The blades and scissors are very sharp. The quality and durability is excellent, and i expect it to easily outlast the 25-year warranty. Mine fits well in the leather case included, but i like the free belt-clip better. The only cons would be that it is fairly big and heavy, and the TTi costs [$] more than the Wave for only a couple more tools and a few extra bits. That said, i am very glad i bought it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The honest truth Price is over the top-more of nice to have than an essential if you have one that is similar in the size. Could be made better in terms of weight and ergonomic uses; wanted something for carry-all-around purpose, but with the weight, it's better strapped on a belt. This would be a clear winner if it combines the spring loaded action of the OHT model while retaining all the tools that it has. Otherwise, this is the bigger bulkier version of the xe6 model minus a corkscrew and missing a hiding toothpick. Hence, i tend to get more use from the xe6 in all around excursion-type

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flawless perfection I know, I know, flawless and perfection are the same. Still, I am making sure to be as clear as possible that this is the finest, best made, best designed, most useful, most comfortable, strongest for its size multi-tool ever made. I am VERY glad valuable space wasn't wasted on anything as useless as a wine opener. If you are an avid multi-tool user, you already know this is the best tool available. I also recommend that anyone who purchases this tool (or the almost as good Wave) buy the bit extender accessory. Lastly, if you are wondering if you want the Charge or the Wave, the Charge has a cool box opener blade (they call it a gutter), is a little lighter, and has a much better stainless blade than the otherwise excellent Wave.

Excuse me, I selected this product on Sunday. At that time, I could ship it to international. But now, it showed that the product isn't shipped to international. Can I buy it and ship it internationally later? Thank you.

Asked by: Renee Lin
When the knife was looked at on May 27th, REI was out of stock in our warehouses. We did have stock in our stores. When ordering, we pull store stock to ship to our customers. Unfortunately, our stores do not ship internationally. When stock was back in our warehouses, we are able to ship internationally.
