Rated 5 out of 5 by from HOLDS EVERYTHING!!!! I require a bag that holds boots, ski jacket, ski pants, goggles in a hard case, gloves, helmet and possibly lunch-all in one bag!. You can't tell from the picture, but I can get all that plus a thickish fleece jacket in this bag. Heavy and durable fabric as well and the boots are separated from the clothing/helmet compartment and has a supportive chest and waist strap along with the backpack straps. I tried a cheaper Sierra bucket bag which did not hold half of the amount of needed items and had thinner, flimsy material-needless to say I returned that bag. The price on this bag was more than I wished to spend but I can tell it will be a bag that will last me many years of ski trips!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Get it!!! Tons of room! Surprisingly lightweight and collapsible when empty. Could use a couple more smaller zippered compartments on the tops of the sides for even more storage/capacity. Will hold ALL on-snow clothing requirements, and extras, with careful packing, including an XXL shell and ski pants (think air travel). One pack convenience. LOVE IT! Wish I would have gotten one years ago! Load your helmet, and anything going in the side pockets before loading the boots. Dries quickly after unloading everything. Too new to know if eventually we'll get that musty smell, but I doubt it, given the material it's made of. Highly recommended for anyone who hates schlepping all the stuff skiing requires. Great pack!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic ski boot bag My background: 47 years as a skier, 13 years on ski patrol, president of a world taveling ski club. This is a GREAT bag. I hate having things in my hand when I travel because you always loose your stuff. I can store ALL of my ski gear in this bag and zip every pocket up tight. Lock down the sternum strap, throw my skiis over my right shoulder and hold my poles with my right hand and hold my beer in my left hand. I buy all of my friends this bag for Christmas and birthdays. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Premium product for air travel or local This is a rather expensive boot bag, but it really works for both air travel and car trips. The best feature is the strong shoulderstrap and waist belt system that completely tucks away for checking as airline baggage. Capacity is very good and the fabric, seams, and zippers are robust. Extra zipper running down the front is helpful when packing or looking for an item that is stuffed in the bottom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from terriffic product Previous smaller transpack wore out after being over packed for several years. This has more than adequate room with several great zippered compartments. For travel all straps can be tucked in for airline travel. I especially liked the cross chest strap to help with it not skidding off the shoulder on a long walk. There is adequate back padding to make carrying easier. All around it appears totally water resistant if not waterproof

Questions & Answers

Is the bag acceptable for airline carry-on?

Asked by: Rick
This boot pack measures 15 x 19 x 19 inches. Most airlines require a piece of carry-on luggage to be no bigger than 45 linear inches (L + W + H) to meet carry-on size restrictions. This can vary so please check with your airline ahead of time.

Loaded up with equipment, is the bag still small enough to go in the overhead on the plane or does it need to be checked?

Asked by: srowegolf
No. The standard carry on size is 22" x 14" x 9", total 45 linear inches. This can vary by airline. The TRV is 15" x 19" x 19", 53 linear inches.
