Best Use Cycling
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the savings Mounts fairly easy to the bed rail. But it is not secure. Even if you use the lock you can rotate the mechanism back and forth and get the nut on the end to come off, this makes the lock useless. It's also pretty tough to get the lever tight enough to make the bike stable. Most recently a pin came out of the cam end and it is now useless. I have just purchased one of the more common bike rack brands for twice the price and believe it will work better. Stay tuned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Protects bike in a pickup bed This is an inexpensive solution to preventing your bike from getting banged up in a pickup bed. Odd geometry of my FS Mtn bike prevented me from hanging it on my older Thule hitch rack. Mounted the Delta on my toolbox lid far enough back that my disc brakes did not hit the toolbox (important) and no more scratches and a reasonable degree of security. Close the camlock with it pointing to the rear or down against the bed to keep nefarious people from working it loose; if they move it, it will only get tighter. Use Allen head bolts with locking nylon nuts to attach for further security. The bed on my early style Tundra was too short to run my 29er straight fore and aft with the tailgate closed is the only annoyance; not a Delta problem. If I had mounted it on the front edge of the bed the bike would probably have fit. Going to order another one for a second bike from the outlet since they are on sale. In a full sized pickup you could probably carry 3-4 bikes with the tailgate closed, even mounted on a toolbox.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hang Your Tandem! I was having trouble finding a way to store my tandem road bike. I finally found this, mounted it to a board (painted the same color as the wall), then mounted the board high on my basement wall. Now I simply remove the front wheel of my tandem and raise the front end almost to vertical and clip it in. The rear wheel still rests on the ground, but the bike is almost vertical, so takes up very little room in the corner. It works great!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Solid construction, but hard to open The problem with this is that it is hard to open. Once you have it open, the pin does not open up far enough to get the forks out easily -- in other words the cam does not provide for enough travel. And one other thing -- the cam itself is poorly designed -- it has a very small area of connection to the concave counter surface and then it releases all the way. It makes for abrupt and unwieldy usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very good bike hitch Mounted the hitch on the truck bed with bolts and nutserts for easy removal. 87' Toyota pick up I could fit 3 mtb easy. Works just like removing your front tire, can't get any easier than that. It is started to fade with Vegas heat, it has been about 2 months now and starting to show signs of fading. Other than that its great

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inexpensive & easy way to bring bikes along We bought 2 of this item for our pick up to make bringing our bikes on a trip easier. Once installed it was a breeze to lock our bikes into the hitch and remove them. I would recommend this item. Good value.
