Rated 2 out of 5 by from not what I expected I bought this atlas partly because of the cover blurbs and partly because it was topo maps. The cover listed "Back Roads" as one of the features. I just glanced through it quickly but didn't look closely or read the back roads section until I got home. I found that section to not be what I was expecting. It was basically just some scenic routes, usually small paved roads and some gravel. A free AAA book lists mostly the same info. The topo feature of the maps isn't useful as the scale is far too small. I needed a magnifying glass to read any of the details. So I returned it in trade for some large scale National Geographic maps of places I'll be visiting soon. Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty good atlas but I find that I need more detail in maps (larger scale) so an atlas doesn't fit what I need.
