Product works great, I just wish one of the bike lubricant manufacturers could manufacture a product that is more gentle on the environment. It contains Heptane(from crude oil), which is fatal if swallowed, and highly flammable. Teflon is not beneficial to the environment or wildlife. I wish we could do better.

I have been using paraffin chain lube for a while but tried out this Teflon lube on a recommendation. I have been underwhelmed. I did start with a very clean chain. No existing paraffin wax on it, but I still had a heck of a time getting the Finish Line Dry to coat the chain. With 1 coat applied as instructed, it was VERY noisy on the cranks, sounding like it was a totally unlubed chain. With 3 coats it's mildly quieter but still sounds like a lot of metal on metal rubbing where I hear every single link hitting the cog teeth. And it picks up road debris like crazy. The debris is like sandpaper and is what wears out the gears. This stuff is a magnet for it. I assume this is better in other climates and riding conditions. But for road riding in the mid atlantic....this stuff is not for me. I'm going back to wax.

Great dry lube

I purchase to get away from using messy oils. I ride strictly road and I keep my chain cleaned and lubed. Every Sunday when my bike gets a bath the chain gets cleaned with citrus oil (park brush, citrus oil, rag)brushed thoroughly to get out any buildup and wiped several times with terrycloth rag. After that I lube each individual link and wipe the excess as instructed. Since switching from chain oil I have noticed my chain looks cleaner, picks up less road-grime, and never squeaks. My cogs and rings are not black or grimy either. By the other reviews I have deduced that perhaps its not the best for MTB. I have no issues and have already recommended to a few buddies.

Great Lube for Dry and Dusty Conditions

I ride my mountain bike in dry and dusty conditions of Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. The slightest greasy residue will attack dirt like a magnet. Finish Line Dry Teflon Lube works great and flat will not attract dirt. This stuff dries instantly so I can apply at the trail head and just take off riding. I have had no problem with this lube in the rain or splashing thought streams. However, I frequently clean my chain and reapply lube. Although this lube seams to disappear after application, I have yet to wear out any drivetrain parts using this product.

A Clean chain lube

I was looking for a chain lube for the dry, dusty summer conditions found in Annadel State Park. Other lubes I've tried seem to gather and hold onto the dust and dirt rather quickly. This product keeps the chain cleaner for a longer time but needs frequent re-application, usually after the 2nd ride. My chain is easier to clean, however. It seems to lubricate better if I use it liberally, rather than the one drop per link that I use with a different lube. In either case, I make sure to wipe off the excess lube.

the best all-around lube

This is definitely my favorite all-around lube. I have one bike, a ‘cross bike that I commute on, but I also ride it recreationally, and sometimes even race on it. I use Teflon Plus for all of that. I lube my chain before every ride, so I can’t really say how long it lasts until it's all gone, but I’ve done rides over four hours without any noise or shifting problems, and my chain is pretty old, so that says a lot. In dry conditions it stays cleaner than the oils I’ve tried, and it holds up in the rain until I have a chance to apply it again. I haven’t had the problems that the other reviewers have had with buildup, but like I said, I wipe my chain down and lube it before every ride, so maybe that’s why. I like it way better than the wax lubes I’ve tried, which I find really hard to wipe down, and which I usually have trouble getting off even with degreaser. I always have a bottle of this handy.

Difficult to apply

The product seems to work really well on the bicycle. The only issue I have with it is that it is ultra clear and has the constancy of rubbing alcohol. When putting it on you are not really sure how much is coming out and how thoroughly you're covering what it is your trying t lube. I think this is just the nature of this beast but is the only thing I found difficult with it.

finish line is gonna be my go-to maintenance equipment. after cleaning the chain, jockey wheels, and crankset with the citrus degreaser, i reapplied the chain and pulleys and then used the lube generously. once i started riding my bike i didn't hear a squeak or squeal no matter how low. not only that but the shifting was elite AND i gained speed

PANGER’s Wild Rides

I ride my mountain bike a lot in the dirt and it gets dirty. This product is amazing. You only need to apply a small amount to your chain and you will notice the difference on your ride. I might add that the employees at REI were extremely helpful as to the procedural process pertaining to the application of the oil.

Dry lube for road bikes

I like a clean drive train on my road bike and I like a dry lube in a dry climate because my bike chain is less likely to accumulate a lot of dust and other gunk. This lube is easily good for about 100 miles
