Awesome thread
OK, I'm a guy who hand sews for repairs etc, yes, I've fixed my son's teddy bear too. I first got this thread for tent repair, which it did a great job for. Let's face it, if thread breaks in the first place, it probably is on something that faces heavy use/wear, like a pants/fly button, not a pocket button, and the repair needs to stand up to that continued use. I also used it on a leather wallet that I completely restiched, tough quality thread, hard to find at this price, and these are the kind of items that bring me back to REI.
