Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable bars that fit great I was debating between these and the AeroBlades, but decided to go with these because the AeroBlades really stuck out over the car too much (2011 Golf). The Thule fitguide recommended the 53" Aeroblades or these. I chose these because: 1) They don't stick out too far over the car. 2) You can really strap just about anything to them and they are heavy and durable. 3) You don't need extra adapters like you sometimes do with the Aeroblades because of their weird shape. Honestly, just install a fairing and you can't even tell they're up there. I can imagine they would get pretty noisy if you didn't have a fairing though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strong From Texas to Minnesota The Thule system held my 62 pound canoe in place for 1400 miles on a recent trip to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota. During that time I drove 70 mph through 45 mph crosswinds and on rough backroads. The Thule load bars held firm. My canoe never budged. The whole system worked like it's supposed to!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thule 50-Inch Load Bars The fist set i bought lasted 10 years and the ends rusted out. REI replaced them for free and I'm gratefult for that. I like the Tule square bar design, better for my canoe than the other round bar brand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok, but... wind noise. This is an OK product if you don't mind wind noises. I returned these and got the Rapid Aero bars and what a difference. The Aero bars were so quiet, you wouldn't even notice that you have anything on your roof. These tubular bars are OK if you don't mind wind noises. - Not for me. As for esthetics, go for the Aero bars. When I have to remove my cargo box to get into a garage and leave the bars on top, these square tubular bars look so outdated.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You have to had a rack! I put this rack on my Honda Fit yesterday. It is secure and fits well. The instructions are very "minimalistic". I went on You Tube to see how to install it (yes, you'll need to do this.) The feet are left and right and front and back. It's really easy to get them wrong. This rack hums in the wind, so if the noise bothers you, get the aerodynamic one.
