Leave No Trace: Even biodegradable soaps and cleansers shouldn't be used in a natural water source. To wash yourself, your laundry or your dishes, carry water 200 feet away from streams or lakes and use small amounts of biodegradable soap (a little goes a long way). Then pour wastewater into a cat hole 6 to 8 inches deep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great on clothes, body, hair, etc This worked great when I was traveling in South America. Just a few drops can clean your clothes, your nalgene, your body or your hair. One bottle lasted my fiance and I for about 2 months.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for everything but hair! Campsuds were great for handwashing, bathing, and washing objects. However, when I tried to wash my hair in it, it left a sticky residue that lasted for more than a week. Obviously Campsuds are not going to be as effective as regular shampoo but I would be careful in using it with long hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best camp soap there is. Lathers well, cleans everything from body to hair to dishes. Degreases and rinses well. I have found it to work well in fresh water, salt water, and both hot and cold water. I find the mild scent pleasing too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful and Environmentally Friendly Great for cleaning dishes, bottles, and hands at camp. Not recommended for showering or bathing. Also, used as laundry detergent in hotels while driving across the nation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Used this product to wash hands, and clean all the cook wear. It did an amazing job of degreasing the dishes and keeping our hands clean and moisturized. I love this soap - especially like that it's eco-friendly. would and will buy again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product for many uses I have the peppermint version of Campsuds. I use it every camping trip for dishes, clothes and all around cleaning. Smells great and works on all sorts of dirty and stains. It even got blood off a scout shirt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good soap, ok cap As with other camping soaps I've bought it's very concentrated. Works fine but the cap leaked when I put it in my checked backpack. You might want to ziploc it if you're doing the same. For me I will stick to the solid screw on cap next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes cleanup simple Can wash anything with this stuff including yourself. Was actually pretty good at getting most of the pole sap off my hands in Rocky Mountain cold water.

It says on the bottle that it's biodegradable - why doesn't it show up in a search for biodegradable soap?

Asked by: stephlikethesoup
Thank you for your input. We will have our web site corrected to add Campsuds to the biodegradable filter in the camping category.
