Filling to the point just shy of stupifying
I saw the three previous reviews were all five-stars, so i took this on a cold wet trip up on the Columbia River Gorge. (Go up Eagle Creek sometime, all the way to Twister Falls. Stunning!) I agree completely: five stars; incredibly tasty. The venison isn't as chunky as I may have wished; it tended to disappear into the mix, but the flavor was still evident. (The idea that this is two means is silly, though. But that's true for most backpacking food.0
Tasty and Filling
This is tasty and satisfying. I can't wait to try the elk meal from the series. What I also like is that some of the Peak Refuel meals use less water than some other brands, so it's good when you are spending the night(s) on a wall climb or on a backcountry ski tour.
