I used this pack to thru hike the Colorado Trail during the summer of 2024. It has a good mix of being functional and being light weight. My favorite feature is the large mesh pocket on the back that allows storage of rain gear outside the pack. This allows quick access when a storm comes along. That same spot also has the pack rain cover pocket, which is convenient. As far as fit goes, that if different for everybody but the Large size fits me well. I am 6'1" and 220 lbs. I will use the same pack to reverse thru hike the CT in 2026 so durability is not an issue in my mind. I would definitely buy this pack again.
i evaluated this pack among several others and initially it was my favorite based on looks and fit and organization. However i soon discovered problems that caused me to return it. The biggest issue was when i would load it up with 25 lb of gear and take it for a walk, it would make loud squeaks and popping noise. i also noticed that stitches were coming out in several places. Perhaps this was defective sample.
