I've only used this once but was (and am) astonished by how small it seems as a pack, despite the fact that it carries 65L. It looks like a large day pack but the main compartment holds a LOT. I think the difference is in the orientation of the main compartment-- instead of being tall and narrow, it's a little wider and deeper (the dimension from your back to the expandable pouch on the back of the pack) than usual. This results in the pack seeming shorter than many other backpacking packs I've used, and consequently the feel of the weight in the pack is slightly different as I'm carrying it. The pack itself is very lightweight, which is wonderful. I wish there were more compartments, but if it had more compartments, it would probably weigh more. I'm 5'8" and got a sm/med; the jury is still out on whether I should have bought a larger pack. The adjustment straps on the top of the shoulder straps are hard to access while wearing the pack (the adjustments get trapped behind the lid) so I'm still working on figuring out if it fits me well or not.
Mine just arrived and I haven’t tested it out. The color is more green than grey, which was a pleasant surprise. Since I got the xs/s it’s only 62L. The belt pockets are pretty small and cannot fit my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I got measured at REI and my torso length was 16” so this should fit me (I’m 5’4”). The shoulder straps do rub against my neck, so I’ll have to wear a collared shirt to prevent chafing. Also, the bag looks smaller in person. Maybe it’ll look bigger when it’s full. Despite these things, I really like the bag and I think it’s perfect for my intended 4 day backpacking trips.
