I'm writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with both the quality of your product and the customer service I received I purchased two pairs of Norman LD3 shoes around the same time. One of them has already worn out and developed a hole in the sole, which is highly disappointing considering the price and expectations of durability. I initially reached out to your Arc'teryx customer service team and provided pictures of the defective shoe. I received no response. When I called, I was informed that there had been issues with email communication and was asked to provide a different email address, which I did. I then sent additional pictures and my receipt, but again received no reply. I followed up with multiple phone calls. Each time, I was asked to provide more information, which I submitted promptly. Last week spoke with Derek, who requested further details and assured me someone would follow up. That never happened. I called again and spoke with Will, who finally informed me that your shoes come with only a one-year warranty, which had already expired.I find it unacceptable that this crucial warranty information was not communicated at the beginning of the process Instead, I was repeatedly asked to send more documents and spent a considerable amount of time following up over the course of nearly month and a half. This experience has been frustrating and unprofessional, and I feel like my concerns were not taken seriously. I am extremely disappointed with your product and even more so with the level of service I received. Based on this experience, I will not purchase from your brand again, nor will I recommend it to others.
I've run 18 miles on singletrack, wet grass, gravel, and muddy trails with these. The GoreTex upper works well and my feet have stayed dry. They are a great weight for a waterproof shoe. I like the 6mm drop and the cushioning feels comfortable. I wear 9.5D in most running shoes and have about medium width feet. These are true to size and could accommodate wider feet. I need to use a runner's knot to get a good heel lockdown. 4/5 stars b/c I think the fit could be more dialed in with a better heel fit.
I’ve been through a few pairs of the Norvan LD shoes. One thing that stands out to me is although the gore Tex version is slightly warmer then the non gore Tex version I find it significantly better then other brands where I can wear these shoes for trail runs up to about 20c before I feel the heat. I have found with other brands with goretex my feet overheat when the temp is above 10c.
Had these for several months now doing everything from little 3mile loops to half marathon races. Love how light they are and good grip on the ground. Between some mud in the fall, snow this winter and now melting snow on the trails the shoes have kept my feet dry in all conditions. Underrated feature is the pocket in the tongue to hide the laces. All trail shoes should have this.
Bought a pair for my South West Coast Path hike, 650 miles in total. I wanted a lighter waterproof shoe that traditional mountain shoes. Shoes have great comfort, and waterproof what is always nice in the UK. Disadvantage was that the sole was completely worn out at the end of the trip, there were holes in the sole.
I use these shoes for everyday walking in the city as well as going on trails either at lunch time near the office or on the weekend. My feet do not feel tire at the end of day, such a nice feeling. They fit perfect for my wide feet.
Excellent shoe! Confortable, well structured to add orthopedic insoles. For my second pair of shoes they are still waterproof even acter 1 year fo use. Thé only point of view to improve is the laces that often come off.
Very comfortable to wear and reliable waterproof protection. The con is that the waterproofness comes at the cost of breathability. Breathability isn't terrible but also not great.
These are my favourite everyday hiking shoes - so comfortable, ideally I’d like to leave them on going to bed
These shoes are exceptional - they push comfort and quality to its limits - my second pair and love them
