Quality & Comfort

Great quality, just warm enough to protect his thinning coat in old age, from the chill outside. This should counter that loss of fur nicely. The quality & thickness of this fabric was a nice surprise. His legs can move freely, without adding further mobility issues to his older dog challenges. Very happy with this purchase and am oh so wondering why others haven't taken the time to review this.

Great fleece coat

Love the extra warmth this fleece gives our dog with thin coat. It is great alone and also in combo under his water resistant outerwear Ruff Vert jacket. It is easier to get on and off than the one we previously purchased, since this time we chose the one with adjustable side buckles. Our guy has long legs so this is helpful. It helps keep him warm on these cooler days and nights. Our dog seems less bothered by the thinner elastic rear leg hold downs of the Vert versus the wider elastic on this Climate Changer fleece. Both serve purpose of securing coat from moving around in the wind, but guessing this would not be as much of an issue with either a neutered dog or a female.

Doesn't hinder dogs leg movement

This is a high quality coat, which retains torso warmth, while not getting in the way of leg movement. People stop and say that he is the best dressed dog, all the while the true benefit isn't the sharp appearance, but the fit. Even the optional use leg loops are comfort. This is a 65 lb dog that doesn't like coats at all, but his coat at age 14 is thinning due to Cushing's Disease, and without something of quality like this fleece to make up for it, he would be cold for the first time in his sporting dog life. Truly a lifesaver and oh my the quality and thickness makes this a go to from cool outside to cold. He has a winter coat, but he will pretend that he cannot walk in that other coat. This one he can bounce along in, forgetting he has a coat on. This written after we have enjoyed the coat for a few months now!
