Super happy with these boots!
Amazing warm and comfortable! The soles are pretty slip-proof and the gaiter is so easy to draw snug with one hand. Highly recommend for cold, snowy weather!
Wonderful timing receiving Sorel Women's Snow Boot
I ordered a pair of the Sorel Women's Glacier XT Snow boots. Although we live in Northern Virginia and some years we have almost no snow, such as the last few years, I went ahead and ordered these boots for two reasons: One, I have a son who lives in Alaska, and two, one of the times I was visiting there, I had my decades old snow boots with the tread worn down in places and I slipped and fell on the ice/concrete and broke my wrist. Argh. So, the pair of new boots came just in time. About a week or two later, we got socked with lots of snow and lots of slippery sleet and it was so bad. But, I never slipped and I can hardly believe this...I only wore thin, short summer socks when I was out in single digit weather or a little warmer but still below freeing for a couple of hours each time and my feet were never cold! Honestly, I think my whole body was warmer because my feet weren't cold. Now granted, the boots are significantly heavier than my old boots but that is one of the reason my feet stayed warm. The other reason is that the lining looks like it reflect one's body heat so that is another reason why I could wear thin summer socks and my feet were never cold. I'm ready for winter in Alaska...or Northern Virginia in a Polar Vortex!
