Good looking, tough, ready to go ski bag
Handsome, understaded, travel ski bag with just enough features. The Powderbound 190 bag has all of the right parts in a stylish packaged. Padded nylon all around to protect your goods, grab handles on all ends plus a quick release shoulder strap. The inside includes seperate velcro straps for poles and skis and will easly hold two pair plus room to pack glives etc. There is an external pocket for wax or whatever and the main zipper will accomodate a lock. All in all, the bag is a solid, good looking value and should hold up in any airport/plane. I just wish it was 2-3 cm longer to accommodate my xcountry skis.
Functional padded bag with lots of room
I have had a bare-bones ski bag for the last few years, and this one, although simple, is much nicer and more functional. I think the best part is that it has squared-off ends and a zipper that goes around the ends, which means it has a lot of storage space inside and the skis are easy to get in and out. I love that I can put a lot of my bulky winter clothing and ski accoutrement inside, in addition to my skis and poles. There are straps inside to keep the skis and poles secured, which have a neat little threading tag so it's easy to do. The fabric and zippers all seem to be good quality, so they look like they will hold up. There is a side pocket with a zipper, and even a little slot for a luggage tag or contact card. There are padded hand grips and a shoulder strap, which my last bag didn't have, and a grab strap on the end. Overall this bag is very functional and seems durable as well.
Tough, Roomy, Well Featured Ski Bag
I haven’t had a chance to use this bag yet, but I did travel with skis twice this season, so I know it’s going to suit the job perfectly next time. The heavy duty Cordura fabric, nylon webbing handles, and burly zippers are going to last forever (I have other bags made of this fabric that are 35 years old and still packing). There are grab handles on both ends so you don’t have to worry which end goes into the van. It’s roomy enough inside for two sets of big powder skis (ours are 190cm long, 110+wide). The velcro tie downs will keep skis from shifting around, and it has nice padding to protect them from airport baggage handling systems. A big plus: there’s lots of room left over to pack other ski gear and clothing in and around the skis and poles, which means you might not have to check an extra bag for that stuff - I trick I saw many ski travelers using.
Not as advertised
The ski bag is perfectly adequate for the price, but I was not sent the same bag that is pictured (see picture). I’m not overly impressed with the straps for the skis, there are no straps for the poles (which there is shown to be in the pictures), and I was not sent the color that I ordered. I do like the mesh pockets on this bag, which are not pictured on the product ad.
