Planning on bringing this on the JMT next season for the just in case situations on the high snowbound passes post El Nino winter. The weight is reasonable (always wished it could be lighter) compared to a full ice axe. It feels very solid and I can remove the head when not needed. Looking forward to playing with it this winter before hitting the JMT next year.
