Columbia  Baby Fox Sherpa Fleece Full-Zip Jacket - Toddlers'

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been buying the Foxy Sherpa Jackets in different sizes for years; my most recent purchase was my fifth or sixth. All the previous ones have been a thick sherpa fleece material, making them thicker/warmer than the regular fleece jackets. Unfortunately, this latest one is your typical thin fleece, like what’s used in Columbia’s other fleece jackets. It’s still cute, but not the thickness/warmth I was hoping for based on previous purchases. I went back and looked at the listing pictures more closely, and it appears that some colors are the thicker sherpa fleece, but others are the thin stuff. Pay close attention if the type of fleece matters to you.

My child looks straight up like a wild thing from "Where the Wild Things Are" in this jacket. The ears are just precious, but if your kid likes to play outside, beware that this jacket will hold on to nature's debris and never let go. The sherpa pile traps pine needles, burrs, and small twigs that are basically impossible to remove by hand because they get tangled in the pile and will not come out in the wash. We received this as a gift, which is why we didn't return it. This may be a good option for urban living, but if your kid likes to go on hikes or play in the woods, expect the jacket to make your kid look like a forest animal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this coat as a medium weight for my 22 month old. I got a size 3T hoping to be able to use a sweatshirt under it this year and use it again next spring as well. My son is currently moving into a 24m clothing. I would say it runs very true to size as the 3T is definitely large on him, but fits only a bit large with rolled cuffs with a sweatshirt under. It is too thick to safely use in a car seat, but we like the light fleece options Columbia has for that. The ideal temps I see myself using this (with a sweatshirt under) would be 40-55F. Without a hoodie I think it would work well up to about 65F, but it is thicker and warmer and likely not for warmer temps.

Owning several Columbia fleece jackets myself, I was worried this product might be too light for my little one. However, the jacket is very thick with a tight thread pattern to keep the wind and cold out. Our little one loves this jacket and runs around acting like the character of the jacket. I would highly recommend this product.

Having young kids it’s hard to justify spending a lot on something that might not fit next year but this was not only amazing quality but you can’t beat the price! The colors are adorable and the little hood is so cute!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is even cuter on! It’s also very cozy. My two year old loves it and brings it to me to put on him all the time. I bought a 3T as my boy is wearing a 3T shirt and I wanted it to last at least a year. Fit is great, quality is amazing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My almost 3 year old son loves this zip up hoodie because it is so soft and fuzzy on the outside. Mom likes it because it is lined with fleece for extra warmth, the hoodie fits and stays on his large head and it is adorable on him.

I love this jacket for my son. It’s super cozy and warm. I purchased one each year starting from the infant age to 3 years. Planning on purchasing again when he turns 4 :) Its the only jacket he doesn’t protest wearing too!
