Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Nice fabric. Well made.
I love that they had a non-plaid option. It is a nice brushed twill. Fit is regular on me. Not having the girly waist cut into the shirt helps a lot. It is a good length at the top of hips, so easy to wear untucked. Washed as directed - cool with low tumble dry. Only dried to damp then hung dry to finish and the arms definitely shrunk. They work for me because I am short with proportional arms. Now I don't have to cuff them up. Love the locker loop for hanging. Appreciate the details of the button placket. Very nicely made. Beautiful fabric. Might venture out to a plaid one, but we will see.
Favorite fall color flannel shirt!
Although the fabric is not thick enough imo, the color is spot on for fall season. FavThe cut is also excellent, sleek and not boxy. I'm 5'5" 127 lbs and size XS fits perfectly.
Love, love, love
I love this new flannel top. It is shaped so it doesn't feel nearly as boxy as most flannel shirts, though it does run a bit larger. The fitting size would suggest me as a medium, but I returned it for a small. It's still got plenty of wiggle room with a small but that's also kind of the point for this type of top. The fabric feels soft but sturdy, I love the colors - vibrant, shapely, soft but durable. An absolute home run I want more colors.
Yet another quality downgrade from REI
This is yet another unfortunate example of REI’s declining quality over the last couple of years. I bought a handful of these shirts a couple years ago, and they have held up beautifully to tons of abuse. The new shirts, however, pale in comparison. The buttons are smaller, making them herder to use. The fabric is thinner and less warm. The collar closes with a button instead of a snap, which is impossible to wrangle in gloves or open quickly. The pockets are smaller and no longer have a gusset, so they no longer hold much. And the yoke is shorter and therefore less robust to heavy loads. I hate to take my business elsewhere because I have loved and relied on REI for decades, but I can no longer justify these prices if this is the new quality standard. I can get this quality of shirt at any big box store.
Very comfortable flannel!
This flannel is great! Sizing up to a M gave me the oversized, layer-friendly fit I was hoping for. It's the ideal weight for those cool, foggy California mornings, providing warmth without bulk. Plus, it's made from 100% organic cotton which is wonderfully soft. The Blue Nights Heather color is really pretty, and I'd definitely buy it in a light gray, too.
My current favorite flannel shirt
Superb value. Not fitted, so it's extra comfy and works great untucked. High quality fabric. Note: not lightweight. Everyone needs at least one flannel shirt.
Bring back the snap! and other things...
This Campwell Flannel Shirt is obviously a remake of the popular Wallace Lake Flannel, but definitely not an upgrade. Please put back some of the details that made the Wallace Lake Flannel such a great shirt. PROS: ** Beautiful tightly woven soft fabric in some great plaids. I got the Blue Nights color. I don't need another flannel shirt, but I really liked this color. I'm sorry I won't be keeping it. ** Plaids are "lined up" and matched properly side-to-side and with the sleeves and pockets. I won't buy a plaid garment that isn't and REI does a good job with this. ** Well-made garment that looks like it will hold up over time like the prior Wallace Lake version. My REI flannels have lasted years and are still going strong. CONS: ** Please bring back the snap! In the Wallace Lake version, the top "button" was a snap. The snap made it easy to quickly open and close the top of the shirt, depending on conditions and how warm or cool you were. You could do it one-handed. It also made putting it on and off a hanger easier. It's such a small detail. You don't realize how significant it is until it's gone. Please put the snap back on. ** The buttons are smaller. Why? The buttons on the Campwell are smaller and harder to manipulate into smaller holes, particularly for people who have arthritis, or people who are out in colder conditions with fumbling cold fingers. That pesky top button is even smaller, making it even harder to button and unbutton. ** The second button on the sleeves has been eliminated. In a long-sleeved button-cuffed shirt, there is usually a button (sometimes 2) on the cuff itself. There is also a button half-way up the sleeve opening. This is the button that was eliminated. I am a cuff-roller. I like to roll my cuffs up with that second button closed. Without that second button, the cuff rolls up wide and floppy. They don't stay neatly rolled up. Another seemingly small detail that makes a big difference in how well the shirt "works." I'm sure that these changes made this Campwell version cheaper to manufacture. I could be wrong about that, but I doubt it. It's too bad. REI took a really great flannel shirt and made it into a so-so flannel shirt. These changes are deal-breakers for me. This one is going back. Please fix these issues on future versions and I'll buy another. In the meantime, I'll keep wearing my weathered Wallace Lake Flannels with the top snap, reasonably sized buttons, and the second button on the sleeve. They last forever.
Bring back Wallace Lake flannel!!
I have loved the Wallace Lake flannels for years but this new version is definitely a downgrade. The fabric is thinner and not as soft. The extra button on the cuff that keeps the sleeves in place is now gone, which is a loss for those who enjoy a cuffed sleeve that stays in place. While the newer plaids and prints are cute, REI has not maintained the quality of this favorite flannel and despite the high price point. So disappointing.
Nice weight, beautiful color; runs small
This is a nice weight flannel shirt; not super heavy. I got the teal color - very pretty. It does NOT run large, contrary to other reviews. I ordered a medium, and over a turtleneck it fit snug; and being 100% cotton, it will shrink. For reference, I am 5'4"; 150 lbs. I liked the color of the shirt so much that I am sending back the medium, and ordering a large.
