Great workout addition for wind management!
I bought this windbreaker during the September sale but just had a chance to test it out, and it did not disappoint. I took it out for a run on a windy day with light rain, and it did what it said it would: blocked the wind and protected me from the light rain. I sized up 1 size because I plan to wear it in the winter and wanted to be able to fit bulkier layers under it. I love the cleverly places elastic - the hood stayed in place exactly even as I bounced on my run! Eventually, the rain let up, and my exertion was keeping me warm enough to remove the jacket. I hate carrying things when I run, but I decided to give this a go anyway. It packed right into its pocket and was the perfect size to hold in my hand for the rest of my run. I haven't tested it in heavy rain and likely won't because that's not what it's designed for. However, in a place that's notoriously windy, as the weather gets colder, I can tell that this is going to be a staple for me, especially at the start of my workouts.

Traps moisture!
This is NOT what a running jacket is supposed to be! Running clothes are meant for sweating in, and they should be breathable. I wore this jacket for a couple of cold windy runs, between 30-60 minutes. Each time I got cold wet clothes underneath the jacket from trapped moisture. When I took it off, the outside was dry and the inside soaking wet. This jacket could actually give a runner hypothermia on longer runs in colder weather. Avoid!

Very comfortable for trail running!

I bought this for trail running. Rainy, 46 degrees and a little windy and I was very comfortable with a thin long sleeve underneath- not too hot and not cold! I wore this with a running vest. I’m short with an athletic build and REI brand fits me well because items often aren’t cut as slim and long as other athletic options. I chose this jacket because it wasn’t tight across my shoulders, like other options were. Can’t speak to longevity of the item yet. I did not find this product ran small.

Good so far

Pleased so far, worn it several times. Slightly stretchy and slightly waterproof. Seams did a weird thing where they sort of "pop" if you separate them, and then the stitching shows from then on, but they are not ripping out so I guess I'll see what happens over time.

Very lightweight

This jacket is too lightweight for my needs. But nicely constructed, a quality product

Just doesnt work.

Love the blue color, but the jacket just doesnt work. NO SIDE POCKETS is a big minus. The fabric is very thin, and the hood doesnt roll up into a good look. Tight across the chest, sleeves very long. So disappointing.

Skin tight, super light

Waaay too small. The description says "close fit" but who wants their windbreaker to be skin tight? REI this could be good with a revamp. Looser fit, longer length. The fabric seems nice as it is extraordinarily light weight.

Great but runs small. Size up.

Great jacket. It runs very small. I had to go up two sizes from my normal size. Love this for hitting the trails in the south on chilly mornings.

Not very wind resistant

Nice looking, good fit, light, but not wind resistant. Even a 5 to 10 MPH wind went right through it.

Great for running

Great for running. I mainly bought this for running. The rain has been getting on my way of running. So now I don’t have excuses to run even if it’s raining. I have only used this in light rain and it works perfect. It is a great wind breaker for windy days and temps above 40s. I haven’t wear it in really cold weather. have a Gore windbreaker for cold days when it’s below 30s and that is so nice and toasty too. I highly recommended this windbreaker
